[Hemodynamic and oxygen supply during exercise in patients with cardiac pacing during treatment of heart failure].

Invasive and non-invasive tools were used to examine the specific features of exercise hemodynamic and oxygen supply in time in 25 patients with heart failure who underwent permanent pacing during a long-term glycoside and vasodilator therapy. It is shown that treatment with glycosides and vasodilators should be used in patients having severe myocardial systolic dysfunction and undergoing pacing. In the absence of this abnormality, it is advisable to use peripheral vasodilators (corvaton or sydnopharm) and diuretics for a long time.

Adult

Intestinal lymph of ruminants. I. Operative techniques for collecting intestinal lymph from ruminants.

Operative technique developed for collecting intestinal lymph from cattle and sheep are described. The method of creating an external anastomosis between intestinal lymph and the posterior caval vein (lymph-caval anastomosis), the postoperative care of animals, and the blood sampling technique are presented in detail. The optimal period of use of the anastomosis is 15 to 18 days. Its further use is of no reason, since the intestinal lymph changes in quality.

[Endobronchial use of hemostatic drugs feracryl and amifer].

The results of endoscopic administration of hemostatic agents feracryl and Amifer in 147 cases are analysed. In 123 patients 5-10 ml of 1% feracryl were administered after endobronchial bioptic manipulations. Bleeding after collection of bioptic material from the bronchial mucosa was arrested by this method in 69 cases. Moderate bleeding in 42 cases was arrested by pressing to the wound surface a tampon saturated with a feracryl solution. Endoscopic occlusion of a bleeding bronchus by means of feracryl and Amifer was conducted in 16 patients with various forms of lung tuberculosis complicated by hemoptysis and pulmonary hemorrhage. In 9 cases with massive pulmonary hemorrhage 3-4 ml of 20% Amifer solution was administered by endobronchial route into the bleeding area. In 7 cases up to 10 ml of feracryl was introducedby ++endobronchial route. Temporary endoscopic hemostasis in patients with various forms of pulmonary tuberculosis made it possible to postpone an emergency operation for a period of up to 2 weeks in all cases. For the prevention of aspiration pneumonia the bronchi were repeatedly cleansed in 8 patients and therapeutic lavage of the bronchi was carried out in 7 patients.

Acrylic Resins

[Neutralization by bioantioxidants of virus-induced mutagenesis in cultured human cells].

The ability of alpha-tocopherol to neutralize mutational process caused by persistent infection (West Nile virus, strain 229) and primary infection (virus of poliomyelitis, type II) was shown in transplanted amnion and human kidney cells. Antimutagenic effect of the modificator was registered, independently of the regime and succession of applying alpha-tocopherol and inductors.

Cell Transformation, Viral

[Lipid metabolism in the gastrointestinal tract of lactating cows during the duodenal infusion of choline chloride and methionine].

In cows fed with a fat-depressing food, the duodenal infusion of the lipotropic substances choline chloride and methionine activated the function of the infused mass which affected the transformation, biosynthesis and transport of lipid compounds into the intestine. Their effect upon the liver involved an inhibition of the bile secretion and an enhancement of the synthesis of triacylglycerols, cholesterol and phospholipids.

Animal Feed

[Phospholipid transport into the intestinal lymph and portal blood of calves in relation to the physical form of the feed ration].

Feeding of the calves with the grass granules containing sodium acetate, enhanced the lymph flow and the phospholipids transport in intestinal lymph. The granulated food considerably reduced the portal system's blood flow and the intensity of the plasma production in the digestive organs. The phospholipids were shown to be constantly transported in the portal system of circulation due to their absorption and their synthesis in the gastro-intestinal tract's wall. The sodium acetate exerted a compensatory effect on the processes of digestion, absorption and transport of the nutrients.

[Ultrastructural changes in the autonomic interneuronal synapse during activation in the presence of acetylcholinesterase suppression].

Structural-functional reconstructions of the frog autonomic interneuronal synapsis have been studied at its activation with endogenic acetylcholine under conditions of acetylcholinesterase suppression. The investigation has been performed with preparations of isolated sympathetic trunk of Rana temporaria treated with armine (5 X 10(-6) M) and subjected to electrostimulation (5 imp/sec) up to a complete block of the synaptic transmission. Certain structural changes are revealed in the axo-somatic synapses, demonstrating an increased adhesive properties of the membranes, ("hatch-like" membranes, numerous submembranous aggregates, aggregates of the intercellular cleft and neuronal-glial contacts). In the terminals changed according to the "light type", with poorly manifested changes, light synaptic vesicles loose their spheric form, their diameter decreases. In the boutons with more intensive changes, the vesicles gradually change into the mass of cluster-floccular material. In the boutons with intensively manifested disorders in the ultrastructure, a complete destruction of the light vesicles is observed. The great part of the ganglionic neuron bodies changes according the "dark type". In their neuroplasm a great amount of subsuperficial cisterns of the endoplasmic reticulum and formation of powerful fasciculi of microfilaments are noted to appear.

Acetylcholine

[Barrier function of the glia of autonomic axosomatic synapses of the frog].

The electron-microscopic study of the frog sympathetic ganglion revealed two types of axosomatic synapses: commonly known and distant synapses. Two structures of glial muff which are likely to be diffusion barriers, were distinguished. The first barrier is formed by glial processes adjacent to axosomatic synapses. The second one consists of external compact layer of the glial muff. Three types of neuro-glial relations concerning different extent of presynaptic bouton isolation, were described.
