The first part of this three-part series, begun in the June issue, discussed administration of the nursing service and the implementation of health assessments. In this issue, discussion continues on five additional functions: Providing palliative or emergency care for occupational/non-occupational illness or injury; utilizing counseling and referral techniques; providing continuous employee health education services; and collaboration and consultation with other health care professionals. This series will conclude in the August issue.
