Experimental study of reproduction in C57Bl/6 and random-bred mice exposed to nonionizing high-frequency radiation.

Experimental study of changes in the reproductive function in 10 generations descending from C57Bl/6 and random-bred mice exposed to nonionizing radiation showed a trend to deviation of this function from the normal: the number of newborns in the litter of generations 3-5 was below the normal, which starting from generations 5-6 it gradually increased, approaching the normal.

Exposure to low-intensive superhigh frequency electromagnetic field as a factor of carcinogenesis in experimental animals.

Inbred albino mice and C57Bl/6 mice were exposed to nonthermal radiation of 37 GHz frequency in order to detect delayed effects caused by repeated irradiation. The detected pathomorphological changes and the dynamics of their formation suggest that these factors are responsible for delayed formation of immunodeficiency provoking mutagenic and carcinogenic effects.

Effect of high-frequency low-intensity irradiation on reproductive function in C57Bl/6 and randombred mice.

The effect of high-frequency low-intensity radiation on reproductive function was studied on C57Bl/6 and randombred mice. We revealed a progressive decrease in the number of offspring, prevalence of males over females in all generations, and the appearance of stillbirths. The decrease in the number of offspring was probably related to increased number of homozygotes and decreased number of heterozygotes in the population under the influence of nonthermal radiation.

Shielding effect of mineral schungite during electromagnetic irradiation of rats.

We studied the effect of nonthermal 37-GHz radiation on hemopoiesis in schungite-shielded Wistar rats. Radiation with right-handed or left-handed rotation of the polarization plane of electromagnetic wave was used. Shielding with schungite decreased the severity of damage produced by high-frequency electromagnetic radiation.

[Potential of the anticholinergic drug troventol in the treatment and diagnosis of bronchial asthma].

A study was made of potentialities of the Soviet drug troventol in the diagnosis and treatment of bronchial asthma. 143 patients suffering from bronchial asthma and 38 patients with pollenosis were examined for external respiratory function using a microprocessor spiroanalyzer, the immunological status and clinical symptoms. The importance of carrying out the diagnostic test with troventol in revealing latent bronchospasm was established, the bronchodilatory effect of troventol at the level of the large bronchi was demonstrated as was a decrease of the emotional manifestations together with the immunomodulatory effect. Beneficial results were attained in 67.8% of cases, satisfactory in 16.8%, and unsatisfactory in 15.4%. Untoward effects in the form of tachycardia were recorded in 3.5% of patients, bradycardia in 5.6%, dry mouth in 16.1% of patients.

[Clinical value of the acetylcholine and exercise tests and their safety provided by the use of broncholytics].

Study of the external respiration parameters in 144 patients with bronchial asthma and pollinosis during the acetylcholine and physical exercise tests prior to and after the administration of cholinolytics and corinfar produced the following results. Cholinolytics produced a protective effect in acetylcholine bronchospasm, troventol was more effective than atrovent, calcium antagonists has no preventive effect in exercise tolerance test.

[Various parameters of the mechanics of respiration during expiratory stenosis of the trachea and bronchi].

Ventilatory function of the lungs was studied in 128 patients with expiratory stenosis of the trachea. In 39.1 percent of the patients, the disease ran its course alone, in 17.9 percent of the patients it was combined with bronchial asthma, and in 43 percent, with chronic bronchitis. It is concluded that the patients demonstrated no alterations in ventilation, characteristic of expiratory stenosis of the trachea. The time-course of changes in ventilation appeared to be determined by morphofunctional alterations in the bronchi as a sequela of chronic bronchitis and bronchial asthma.
