[Last-generation synthetic opioid analgesics as alternative to opiates in oncologic surgery].

The present-day problem is the development of effective methods of general anesthesia and postoperative anesthesia on the basis of nonopiate central analgesics possessing no hazardous side effects of opiates. A study was made of synthetic analgesics of the last generation as agents for intra- and postoperative anesthesia as compared with conventional opiates. It has been established that synthetic analgesics belonging to the class of opiate agonists-antagonists, namely moradol and norphine, compare favourably enough with fentanyl. They are superior to fentanyl in antistressor properties, provide for a more powerful and longer analgesic effect and can replace conventional opiates in all the stages of surgical treatment of the patients. This is particularly important for the oncological clinic where opiates are to be preserved as reserve for the treatment of chronic painful syndrome.

Analgesics

[Analysis of the linear dichroism of reaction centers oriented in polyacrylamide gel].

A model for orientation of rigid disc-shaped and rod-shaped macromolecules in polymer is analysed. Analytical expressions are given for the dependence of linear dichroism value on the angle between the transition dipole vector and the axis of the macromolecules, for certain deformation of the sample. The reaction centers from Rhodopseudomonas sphaeroides R-26 are oriented as rod-shaped particles. The angles between the long axis of the reaction center and transition dipoles for bacteriochlorophyll 31.8 +/- 2,4 degrees (870 nm), 42,3 +/- 0.9 degrees (796 nm), 68.0 +/- 0.6 degrees (600 nm) and for bacteriopheophytin 76.5 +/- 1.9 degrees (760 nm), 39.8 +/- 1.5 degrees (540 nm) are determined from absorption spectra.

Acrylamides

[Machine for washing hospital laboratory vessels].

To improve washing laboratory vessels a selection of effective detergents was made and the technology of washing has been worked out. These data formed a groundwork for the construction of the washing machine, model BII-200, whose pilot unit has passed technical and medical tests and is recommended for batch production. The capacity of the machine with the use of the synthetic detergent "Trias" (per cycle): 252 test tubes, 96 microscope slides, 30 Petri dishes. The duration of the washing cycle is 27 min.
