[Activation of the complement system of plasma and the changes in various parameters of homeostasis in rats after intravenous administration of emulsion of organoperfluorine compounds].

Anticomplementary activity of emulsion based on the organoperfluorine compounds (PFC) perfluorodecalin and perfluorotripropylamine (7:3) has been shown in vitro. A temporary reduction of the neutrophil number up to 25% of the initial level was recorded 5 min after intravenous plethoric administration of 1.0 ml of this emulsion to rats. A drop in the arterial pressure and blood minute volume was observed in half of the animals, 30 and 60 min later impairment of the body oxygen regimen resulting in tissue hypoxia was recorded in all the rats. It has been suggested that the disorders observed in the animals are caused by the action of varying mediators produced due to the intravascular activation of the complement by PFC.

[Characteristics of the effect of various erythrocyte-containing media on central hemodynamics, microcirculation and oxygen consumption during the treatment of massive hemorrhage].

Experiments in 30 rats have shown that transfusion of autologous erythrocytes suspended in the modified deionized gelatin exerts a more pronounced positive effect upon central hemodynamics, microcirculation and oxygen regimen as compared with transfusion of the whole autologous blood and erythrocyte mass.

[Hypotensive and hemodynamic effects of sodium nitroprusside in experimental ischemic renal arterial hypertension in cats].

The hypotensive effect and interrelations of some hemodynamic parameters in the course of intravenous administration of sodium nitroprusside (SNP) were examined in an experimental study in cats with induced hypertension. Both in normotensive and hypertensive conditions, the SNP injection produced an almost instantaneous drop in systolic and diastolic ABP, its principal mechanisms being the depression of total peripheral resistance (TPR). The magnitude of decrease in stroke and minute volumes was dependent on the extent of ABP fall that was in turn related to the dose of the drug and the baseline TPR values.

[DOCA-salt hypertension in cats].

The possibility of reproducing DOCA-salt hypertension in cats has been explored. It has been shown that administration of DOCA and sodium chloride may result in the development of a hypertensive condition in some of cats. Unilateral nephrectomy increases the probability of hypertension occurrence. To attain a steady and noticeable (up to 190 +/- 8/146 +/- 7 mm Hg) elevation of arterial pressure, it is necessary that appreciable amounts of DOCA and sodium chloride be administered for a long time (during 6 months) in the presence of unilateral nephrectomy. The hypertension thus induced is marked by the increased (71%) overall peripheral resistance and by the decreased cardiac output, which rises for a short period in the course of hypertension development.

[Effect of hyperoxia on systemic hemodynamics, microcirculation, and oxygen regimen in rats in replacement of massive blood loss by albumin].

Experiments were conducted on rats to study systemic hemodynamics, microcirculation, and oxygen regimen in the organism in replacement of massive blood loss with albumin solution in normo- and hyperoxia. The results suggest that in breathing oxygen conditions are created in the organism for fuller realization of the mechanism of compensatory increase of the minute circulation volume in replacement of blood loss by a blood substitute, as a result of which total oxygen consumption increases and microcirculation is restored more adequately.
