A case of sarcoid-like granulomatosis involving the lung, skin and a large cervical vessel is presented. The patient died 4 years after the beginning of the disease with a diffuse angioimmunoblastic lymphadenopathy and a sarcomatous change. Although peculiar histological lesions were seen, with a majority of epithelioid and giant Langhans cells, the extra-pulmonary involvement and the poor prognosis were similar to those of the typical lymphomatoid granulomatosis (Liebow's disease).
Radiologic exploration of the bony lacrimal duct is principally indicated in lacrimal disorders secondary to facial injuries. The use of an axial projection enables analysis of possible displacements or obliterations. Its associations with lacrimography is often indispensable.

A retrospective study of prognostic, clinical, and histological features in 65 cases of salivary gland cylindromas treated in the Hôpital Salpêtrière, Paris, was conducted. Vital prognosis was related to the initial size of the tumour, the presence of pain, and evidence of cellular anomalies or invasion of neighbouring structures on histological examination. Metastatic spread is related to peritumoural extension, and local recurrence has a prognostic value because of its relationship to later metastatic involvement.
Six out of 11 cases of primary condylar tumors treated in the Department of stomatology and Maxillofacial Surgery were analyzed. They included 3 patients with osteomas, and one case each of fibrosarcoma, chondroma, and multinucleated giant cell tumor. Typical signs were lateral displacement of the mandible (2 cases), reduction in the buccal opening (3 cases), and pain (3 cases) and swelling (3 cases) in the pretragal region. Swelling is never observed with osteomas, which develop antero-internally. The presence of the tumors was confirmed by radiological examination in all cases. Usual treatment is condylectomy, by means of C. Hosxés approach, confirmation of diagnosis requiring pathological examinations.
Three cases of mandibular condyle metastasis of particular interest are reported: -- In two out of the three cases they were detected early enough for the primary tumour to be diagnosed; -- they all presented with articular symptoms; -- all three were treated surgically by excision of the condyles. Diagnosis was confirmed by histological examination, a rare event when mandibular metastasis are concerned, these usually being diagnosed after the primary tumour and then irradiated without histological proof. Primary tumours were respectively bronchial, pancreatic, and mammary.
Two univitelline twin sisters developed Gougerot-Sjögren's syndrome at 30 years of age. Immunity disorders were more significant in the sister with the more severe disorder, as demonstrated by sialography and scintigraphy. Among the immunological tests practiced, emphasis is placed on antinuclear antibody assay in the saliva, the authors finding no mention of this test in the published literature. Of particular interest is the negative result of histological examination of the accessory salivary glands, this contrasting with the close relationship between immunity and sialographic disturbances. The identical nature of the two sisters was confirmed by a study of the HLA systems, but this did not demonstrate the presence of the B8 marker, classically correlated with Gougerot-Sjögren's syndrome.
The authors suggest a method for the reduction and immobilisation comminutive fractures in varus of the zygomatic arch. This procedure consists of the introduction of a Franchebois balloon filled with physiological saline into the external space of the manducatory sysarcoses, thereby maintaining the calibe of the zygomato-temporo-malar canal. The procedure falls within the context of the functional treatment of fractures of the facial skeleton.
