[Placental hemangiomas].

In the following article the author describes 7 cases of hemangioma placentae observed for a period of 5 years and short characteristics of each of them are made. Quite detailed is discussed the problem about the clinical effects of this tumor-complications during pregnancy as well as to the fetus and the new-born child. Special attention is paid to the contradictory question about the hemangioma placentae and the maternal serum alpha-fetoprotein and their possible connection with the preeclampsia.

[Pre-eclampsia--the delivery and outcome for newborn infants].

In the present research 50 patients have been examined having average and heavy form of preeclampsia who have entered and have been treated at the university hospital. The percentage of the Caesarean sections for the heavy forms is 72% while for the average forms it is 63%. The impression is that the heavier the preeclampsia is the more often operative delivery is practiced. On the other hand the heavier the preeclampsia is the quicker the delivery completes: approximately 50% of the heavy forms end with operative delivery up to the 32 gestational weeks while for the average forms the percentage is 6.6%. The birth information is compared to the values of Apgar score on the 1st and 5th minutes for the newborn and their outcome in the neonatal period. The general conclusion which is done concerns the optimal gestational time limit for birth in these cases in order to successful outcome for the newborn.

[Difficulties in the diagnosis and treatment of uterine malformations].

The authors shows detailed classification of Buttram and Gibbons for the Muller uterine anomalies. According this classification the anomalies are classified in 6 different groups based on the stage of insufficiency in the normal development. Many theoretical arguments have been made on the different malformations in groups. The stress has been put on the clinical view and the choice of a surgery behavior. Some special cases are described which caused difficulties with the diagnosis and the treatment. The anomalies in the different groups are illustrated in different figures.

[Modern antimycotic therapy in obstetrics].

The research includes 40 pregnant women in the second half of pregnancy with proved microbiological colpitis mycotica. Local treatment was applied with antimycotic Gyno-Pevaril. The following results had been achieved: 82% totally cured during the first course of treatment, 15%--after the second course and 3% (1 patient) needed to be treated a third course of a mixed microbiological flora. The clinical contents, pharmacokinetics and the local way of application secure the harmlessness of the treatment of the colpitis mycotica in pregnant women.

[Pregnancy in a rudimentary horn of the uterus].

The cases of pregnancy in the rudimentary horn are probably the rarest Mullerian anomalies. More often the pregnancy ends with an abortion in the first or the end of the second trimester. Extremely rarely (1% of the cases) end with a live birth. The authors examine and describe a case which successfully ended with a birth of a live fetus in 32 gestation week after a rupture of cornual pregnancy. Special attention is paid to the diagnostical difficulties, which are characteristic for these cases. It is reasonable in the cases of extrauterine pregnancy to think of a pregnancy in the rudimentary horn as well.

[A triple pregnancy following heterologous insemination and ovarian stimulation with a favorable outcome].

The larger usage of inducing ovulation drugs in the last decade brought to more frequent multiple pregnancies. The authors describe triplet pregnancy after hetero-insemination and ovaries stimulation which ended the birth (by Cesarean section) of three alive and healthy babies. The triplet pregnancy is high-risky. More often hypertension anaemia and postpartum haemorrhage are met. The most important complication anyway is the preterm delivery which shows as a result unfavourable perinatal outcome. The question about the effectiveness of the prophylactic cerclage and the prophylactic tocolysis is discussed. The general opinion is that there is a higher rate perinatal death for the second and the third fetus.

[Short-term antibiotic prophylaxis with doxycycline in abrasio residuorum].

The short-lived antibiotic prophylaxis finds wider and wider usage in the present obstetric practice. The authors aim to examine clinically and to use in the obstetric practice short-lived antibiotic prophylaxis with doxycycline after interruption of pregnancy and residual abrasion due to incomplete abortion. The treatment of women from the experimental group was 500 mg of doxycycline per os at once, but 100 mg twice for 6 days in women from the control group in accordance with the common usage. Attention was paid to 3 basic symptoms: temperature over 37 degrees C, pains at the lower part of the abdomen and need of additional treatment. An inference i made that inflammatory complications after the two types of antibiotic prophylaxis does not differ in frequency (p greater than 0.05). The advantages of short-lived usage are evaluated as well.
