The results of treatment of 10 patients with acromioclavicular dislocation has been presented. In all cases acromioclavicular fixation was done with Weber tension band (Zuggurtung). Additional immobilisation was not used so an early rehabilitation was possible. Full range of motion of the shoulder joint was found in 9 patients.
The authors have presented results of treatment of 150 patients with trochanteric fractures of the hip operated by the Ender method. Hundred twenty of them were capable of weight bearing at the discharge from the hospital. Fifty patients showed up for the final examination, 48 walking unaided or with a walking stick. Follow up ranged from 0.5 to 5 years. The fracture was united in all cases.
The difficulties in monitoring of the hip joint with the Luminax X21 apparatus encountered by the author at surgery on the original SM 1 operating-table made him to exchange the outrigger supporting the sacrum. The author's outrigger is not an obstacle in entering an X-ray apparatus under the hip joints.
