[Prospective for nursing congresses].
Based on the information gathered on Nursing Congresses held during 1987 throughout Spain, a typical or average congress has been posited, on the basis of which several observations are made, which reflect the present situation in Nursing. Among the conclusions, the following stand out: poor prior publicity; anonymous organisers; underestimation of papers versus speeches; excess of speakers from other professions; minimal publication of the papers presented; high registration fees, etc.
