[The adaptational-compensatory reactions of the digestive system during the development of pancreatic atrophy].

Adaptive-compensatory processes have been revealed in the digestive system in pancreatic atrophy. These processes promote: a) the compensation of the pancreatic enzymatic insufficiency and of the cavitary digestion decrease by the alpha-amylase adsorbed at the small intestinal epithelium, b) the increasing of the intestinal pH, c) the keeping up of the postprandial levels of gastrointestinal hormones.

[Physiological and biochemical characteristics of changes in pancreatic secretory activity during the development of atrophy in dogs].

In pancreatic atrophy the normal digestive dynamics of pancreatic juice volume, concentrations and outputs of proteolytic enzymes, alpha-amylase and bicarbonate are disturbed. The changes of enzymic dynamics are revealed before those of pancreatic juice volume and bicarbonate concentration. The subcutaneous injections of boiled pancreatic juice didn't restore dynamics of indices studied but maintained their levels during the more prolonged period.

[Mathematical model of the mechanism of respiratory rhythmogenesis].

Contemporary ideas of the mechanism of respiratory rhythmogenesis are considered. A mathematical model of these mechanisms is described as well as the results of its study underlying a proposed scheme of neuronal network which is able to maintain a regular alternation of respiratory phases within the wide range of physiological states. Three neuronal pools constitute the basis of the proposed network: the inspiratory neurons I alpha and I beta (the former excite the latter) and the added pool of expiratory neurons Ee which can be excited by the I beta neurons and inhibits the I alpha neurons. Presence of the Ee pool enables to obtain stable expiratory inhibition of the I alpha neurons. The model takes into consideration the proexpiratory effect of the lungs' stretch receptors as well as the proinspiratory action of the irritant receptors.

[Models of the neuronal network of the lateral geniculate body].

Mathematical identification of neuron structures forming different types of receptive fields (RF) of the outer geniculate is carried out on the basis of the results of neurophysical and morphological studies. Net models of overlapping RF of different types are studied. It has been shown that the difference in time characteristics of different RF responses is mainly determined by the constants of excitation and inhibition while the difference in the character of RF response dependence on the stimulus parameters--by different types of dependence of the time of delay, on stimulus parameters and different form of spatial weight functions. It has been analysed what functional difference of neuron channels composed of various types of RF is conditioned by the differences in the parameters of neuron structures which form various RF.
