[Effect of fraction-dispersed composition on the efficacy of group aerosol immunization].

The formulas indicating the relationship between the magnitude of aerosol aspiration doses of the vaccine preparation and the parameters of the dispersed composition of aerosol are presented. The results of calculation of the relationship between the proportion of the particles of the respirable fraction and the median mass diameter, as well as the root-mean-square deviation of the logarithms of the diameters, are given. To ensure the high effectiveness of immunization with the vaccine preparation, the use of aerosols with the median mass diameter between 1.0 mu and 3.5 mu is shown to be expedient.

[Ethimizol impact on the fatigue of the inspiratory muscles].

The aim of the study was assessment of ethimizol effects on fatigue of respiratory muscles and ventilatory disorders caused by inspiratory resistive load on respiration. Cat experiments showed that administration of ethimizol in inspiratory fatigue reestablishes total bioelectric activity of the inspiratory muscles and diaphragmatic nerve, diminishes useful respiratory cycle and respiration rate. Thus, ethimizol in a 1 mg/kg dose i.v. compensates inspiratory muscular fatigue via central mechanism of action.

[Effect of aminophylline on fatigue of inspiratory muscles].

Effect of aminophylline on the fatigue of inspiratory muscles and ventilation disorders induced by respiratory resistive load was studied in cats. The administration of aminophylline on the background of inspiratory fatigue increases transdiaphragm pressure, restores bioelectric activity of inspiratory muscles and phrenic nerve, and decreases the respiratory duty cycle and rate. It is concluded that aminophylline in a dose of 24 mg/kg (i.v.) is capable of compensating the inspiratory muscle fatigue via both central and peripheral mechanisms, the latter effect being probably of greater importance.

[Effect of cardiac glycosides on myocardial contractile proteins].

By using the method of the measurement of the degree of actomyosin superprecipitation of the rabbit cardiomyocytes it was shown that isolanide (0.1 mg/kg), adoniside (0.1 ml/kg), strophanthin K (0.05 mg/kg) and corglycon (0.15 mg/kg) prevented the allergic process-induced disturbance of ATP energy utilization by myocardial contractile proteins.

[Cardiotropic effect of anti-arrhythmia agents].

In experiments on contractile proteins isolated from the myocardium rather than from the musculus gastrocnemius it was shown that in contradistinction to lidocain the drugs quinine, quinidine, novocainamide, papaverin, obsidan and isoptin at a concentration of 3 . 10(-4) M inhibit contraction of actomyosin threads and superprecipitation reaction of actomyosin suspension that occurs under the influence of adenosine triphosphoric acid.

[Pharmacological correction of disordered function of the myocardial contractile proteins].

The ability of some drugs to normalize the disturbed interaction of myocardial contractile proteins with ATP determined by superprecipitation of myocyte actomyosin was studied in experimental allergic and caffeine-adrenaline-induced injury to the rabbit myocardium. Ethimizole (2.5 mg/kg) appeared the most effective, while isolanide (0.005 mg/kg), contrykal (500 Units/kg), propranolol (1 mg/kg) and amidopyrine (10 mg/kg) were less effective. The action of prednisolone (5 mg/kg) appeared especially demonstrable in allergic myocardial injury.

[The pharmacological correction of respiratory musculature fatigue].

The effect of drugs (ATP, dibasol, corglycon, prednisolone, pyracetam, ethymysol, and aminophylline) on contractility of the diaphragm and the parameters of external respiration in inspiratory fatigue was studied. Total bioelectric activity of the diaphragm, transdiaphragmatic pressure, respiratory rate, tidal volume, and duty cycle were recorded in 160 anesthetized cats. Administration of the drugs under study normalized to a different measure the parameters of external respiration and improved contractility of the diaphragm in inspiratory fatigue. Aminophylline, pyracetam, corglycon, and ATP possessed the highest activity.
