Psychosomatic evaluation of patients with congenital penile deviation. A postoperative catamnestic follow-up.

Thirty-three patients with congenital penile deviation were examined by a semi-structured interview and psychodiagnostic tests (Giessen test, Giessen complaint sheet) prior to undergoing surgery according to the Nesbit-Kelâmi technique. A prognosis was then made to determine the extent to which the problems and disturbances reported by the patient or uncovered by the examiner could be improved by the operation. This prognostic assessment was then verified in a subsequent catamnestic examination (N = 20), at an average of 21.3 months after the intervention. An attempt is made to identify and define preoperative indicators that permit to predict the postoperative course.

Treatment of morbus Peyronie--how I do it? Twenty years of experience.

Non-operative treatment of morbus Peyronie with 1000 mg of vitamin E daily is warranted as long as the penetration of the penis into the vagina is not hindered. As soon as sexual problems occur, depending on the age, either a corporaplasty (Nesbit-Kelâmi) or implantation of penile prostheses without plaque surgery (Kelâmi) is performed with an excellent late result rate of 96%.

Alloplastic spermatocele: insemination from epididymal reservoir.

Insemination with the sperm of an epididymal reservoir three days after implantation of the prosthesis led to a successful pregnancy with subsequent delivery of five healthy sucklings. Alloplastic spermatocele can function longer than four months as proved by a successful pregnancy.

[The use of human dura in urology, except as a substitute of urinary bladder (author's transl)].

The human dura cannot only be used to replace the urinary bladder wall, but also to replace the capsula fibrosa of the kidney for transposition of aberrant vessels in hydronephrosis, for interposition in vesicovaginal fistula, for suspension of the urethra in stress incontinence and to replace the tunica albuginea of the corpus cavernosum penis after resection of plaque in Peyronie's disease.

[Experience with a one-stage hypospadias repair (author's transl)].

33 single-stage hypospadias repairs are reported, which were performed within 2 years. The operative technique is described. In two cases, fistulas developed and required operative treatment. The average follow-up was 13.5 months. 28 cases showed good functional and cosmetical results. Three cases required additional surgery to improve the cosmetical result. The Allen-Spence-Hoffman-Hall one-stage technique has proved to be suitable to correct a distal hypospadias without chordee.
