[Variety of cows and sires according to types of dermatoglyphics (patterns) of the nose-labial mirror of cattle].

Dermatoglyphic+ of the nasal-lip speculum presents a complex structure of skin picture on its surface. Genetics and phenetics of this character permit determining different types of dermatoglyphics, their hereditary peculiarities to be retained in generations. Different types of dermatoglyphics are established to be preserved within genealogical lines and families of cows. Differences between breeds in some dermatoglyphic elements are observed.

[Interbreed differences in cattle by "phenes"].

Significant interbreed differences (between Simmentals and Black-and-White cattle) for 16 phenotypes of molar surface structure were detected in milk-cows. In Black-and-White cattle, 15 phenotypic variants of the head colour marks correlating with the body colour were found.

[The muzzle and biochemical genetic markers as supplementary breed characteristics in cattle].

The comparative analysis of characteristics of three different cattle breeds (Brown Carpathian, Pinzgauer, Red Polish) on the 5 molecular-genetic markers and 5 muzzle dermatoglyphic types was carried out. It was indicated, that one characteristic can not be use as a breed-specific one but only their complex. The main aspect of search of this complex is the use of characteristics which mark different structure-functional systems of whole organism.
