[Initial experiences in the use of the ASKIS automated system for detecting patients with ischemic heart disease. Automated System for Population Health Tracking and Follow-up].

The paper is concerned with the first experience gained in the use of the automated system ASKIS in the work of a district polyclinic of Moscow. The results of the questionnaire of 569 persons are provided. Analysis of the ambulatory cards was made immediately after the questionnaire and additional examination. It has been discovered that the system proposed can be used in the work of a polyclinic, since at allows one to identify persons afflicted with cardiovascular diseases.

[Theoretical basis of the search of individual limits of fluctuations and the maximum long-term maintainance of arterial pressure within the maximum permissible limits in hypotensive therapy].

The methods of determining the maximum permissible and functionally justifiable (upper and lower) limits of arterial pressure fluctuations limiting the zones of individual "comfort" "caution" and "alarm" for every patient are described. The mathematical method of the least squares was used for long-term control of the maintenance of arterial pressure within the limits individually pre-set for those treated on an out-patient basis. The above methods permit to decrease the duration of therapy with a minimal drug expenditure and to ensure a mass control of the efficacy of hypotensive therapy.

[Elaboration of a long-term program of international cooperation in the area of oncologic research].

In the USSR the coworkers of the Oncological Research Center of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences and the Institute of Control Problems of the USSR Academy of Sciences are actively participating in elaboration of a long-term program for international cooperation in the field of oncological research and its information provision, based on a systemic approach to it. A list of most perspective trends in the field of oncological researches is made. An original system of selective propagation of the information among the participants of the program was worked out. Some methodological approaches to the working out and realization of the long-term program are formulated.

[Use of logical decision rules during screening in order to identify groups at risk for diabetes mellitus].

The paper describes two-staged examination of population to detect diabetes mellitus using computerized methods and modern methods based on control theory. The authors present the results of screening population in one of the Moscow districts using a standard GTT with a logic decision rule to identify groups at high risk of developing diabetes mellitus. The efficacy of the rule and its use under actual conditions of limited resources were considered.
