[Evaluation of thrombocyte retractile activity using a retractograph].

Direct measurement of the force of clot contraction from the plasma in normal subjects and standardization of plasma platelet count, carried out with a retractograph, a newly designed apparatus, have helped assess the platelet retractile activity. Linear relationship between platelet count in the clot from the plasma and the force of the clot contraction, detected in normal subjects, allows one to do without standardization of the platelet count to a preset level when measuring the blood platelet retractile activity in patients.

[Polarographically active fraction of alpha 1-unstable glycoprotein in the blood serum during the malignant process].

The simple method of polarographical testing of the peripheral blood serum is recommended as a part of the complex cancer diagnosis for the evaluation of the effectivity of cancer treatment and for the mass preventive examination. This method modified by I. A. Pelishenko (POISK-test) has permitted detecting a protein substance in the serum of cancer patients as well as in the serum both of the rats bearing Pliss sarcoma and in the serum of the irradiated dogs. It was proved that this protein indicates the presence of malignancy and represents polarographically active fraction of the alpha 1-unstable glycoprotein. This substance was designated as "Informative Pelishenko Protein" (IPP), and may be revealed by the polarographic indicator (IPM-01) made in Leningrad.

[Electrochemical immobilization of glucose oxidase in the polyacrylamide coating in the presence of glutaraldehyde].

A new electrolyte composition for preparing polyacrylamide coatings with immobilized glucose oxidase that contains glutaraldehyde as a component is proposed. The polarographic behaviour of glutaraldehyde at increased ZnCl2 concentrations answers the criterion of electrochemical polymerization. Glutaraldehyde improves cross-linkage within polyacrylamide, provides an increase of the coating mass and its better quality and adherence, as well as the covalent binding of the enzyme during electrochemical immobilization.

[The OMKA1Ts-01 automatic digital osometer].

The first Soviet automatic digital osmometer has been developed, its operational and technical characteristics being not inferior to the best foreign standard. This osmometer allows considerable cut of the measurement time and high accuracy of the osmotic pressure determination.

[Indicators of the polarograms of active serum proteins for oncological examinations].

The possibility to develop a highly productive indicator for polarographically-active substances of blood serum is analysed. A laboratory prototype of the instrument is designed and its serviceability is tested on biological solutions prepared of blood serum taken from healthy and diseased subjects. The method may be useful in primary stages of laboratory investigations to detect oncologic diseases in the course of multiphasic screening.
