Expected impact of RBRVS on physician relationships.

Physician payment reform will undoubtedly have a significant impact not only on physician income, but also on the environment in which physicians practice. In this article, the author examines the effect implementation of a resource-based relative value scale is likely to have on physicians' relationships with other physicians, with hospitals and managed care companies, and with their patients.
