[Clinical testing of hemo- and plasmosorption on the Aktilen hemosorbent].
The authors make an analysis of using hemosorption and plasmasorption in 43 patients with the help of fibrous sorbent "Actilen". The developed methods have a pronounced detoxicating immunocorrecting, rheocorrecting effect, exert mild aggressive influence on blood and can be used in treatment of surgical, therapeutic and infectious diseases. The following advantages are noted: high sorption and kinetic characteristics of the sorbent, domestic devices and materials, small volume of the filling of mass transfer devices, low cost.

[Use of the system with the sorption element in transfusions of preserved blood].
The experimental investigations have shown that using the sorption elements allows to purify the blood from toxic substances, part of leukothrombocyte microaggregates reducing the possibility of pulmonary complications.

[Evaluation of the amount of microaggregates in preserved blood].
The tensometric method of the estimation of microaggregates in the blood and its preparations was used. It was shown that the process of aggregation of blood formed elements was dependent on the preservative content, period of storage and individual features of the donor. The filtration rate of the soviet and foreign microfilters was found to depend upon the initial content of microaggregates in the blood. The employed tensometric method is sufficiently simple and enables the objective estimation of the amount of microaggregates to be made. It is recommended for employment in the blood transfusion service.

[Analysis of the gas exchange efficiency in a membrane oxygenator with repeated agitation of the blood flow].
Approaches to improvement of gas exchange function of membrane oxygenator are studied. A mathematical analysis of the principle of repeated agitation of oxygenator blood layer is carried out, and the efficiency of its application in membrane oxygenators is shown.

[Tensometric analyser for blood microaggregates].
A tensometric analyser based on blood pressure determination on a screen-like filter is recommended to estimate the quantity of microaggregates being formed in the blood. This instrument has small dimensions and consists of a measuring chamber, automatic syringe and a device for thermostating and control purposes.
