[Pitfalls of overlay prostheses].
Three types of pitfall are encountered with overlay prostheses : anatomic, functional and psychologic. Anatomic traps sometimes require strong measures based on preprosthetic surgery, while functional problems may be solved by artefacts of application. Psychologic pitfalls need patience and understanding in order to obtain patients' confidence and constructive collaboration when he lacks of experience in the wearing of removable dentures.
