[Morphofunctional changes of coccyx area in posttraumatic coccygodynia].

For definition of a pathogenesis ofposttraumatic coccygodynia, a study of morpho-functional changes of the structures of coccyx's area was organized. The preparations of coccyx, removed during operative intervention from 23 different-aged patients with manifestations of disease were analyzed by roentgen, histological technique and a submicroscopy. In a cartilaginous tissue from patients with posttraumatic coccygodynia, dystrophic changes of chondrocytes down to their atrophy, a destruction of the basic material with partial replacement of a fibrillar cartilaginous tissue with a hyaline cartilage were observed with a different degree of manifestation. Vessels and sacrococcygeal nervous plexus were subjected to pathological changes. Increased post-traumatic mobility, alterations in the process of ossification, deceleration of physiological joining of coccyx vertebras and sacrococcygeal joint alter biomechanical properties of coccyx at sitting. These alterations lead to the long-lasting traumatization with degenerative - dystrophic changes, reinforcement of pain syndrome and manifestation of dysfunctions of organs of pelvis.

[Alterations of nucleoli and nucleolar organizers in proliferative cystitis and transitional cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder].

The values of the nucleolar and granular rates as well as the number of Ag-granules were increased during the process of malignancy of transitional epithelium in proliferative chronic cystitis and transitional cell bladder carcinoma, including invasive tumours at both ultrastructural and light microscopic levels. The results may serve as additional criteria in the assessment of the risk of bladder mucosa malignancy and prognosis of the transitional cell bladder carcinoma.

[Problem of pathogenesis of Mycoplasma infection].

It has been shown that irrespective of the primary focus of affliction, M. hominis-induced infection should be regarded as a systemic disease characterized by an immune-mediated inflammation which is contributed to by blood kallikrein-kinin system activation resulting in changes in the coagulative system and fibrinolysis until disseminated intravascular coagulation develops. This allows one to interpret in a new fashion the etiology of some diseases proceeding with signs of vasculitis.

[Morphologic changes of the kidneys in patients with vasorenal hypertension].

A study is presented of the state of blood vessels and parenchyma of the kidneys in patients with vasorenal hypertension. Morphological changes of the renal parenchyma at different stages of the disease are described. The authors compared clinico-morphological findings and give practical recommendations for the improvement of diagnosis of the disease and timing of surgical treatment of vasorenal hypertension.

[Effect of external ionizing radiation on morphofunctional indices of the hypothalamus, hypophysis and adrenal glands].

The laboratory rats exposed to one-time external ionizing radiation have been found to have phase changes of morphofunctional and secretory cells activity of hypothalamus, hypophysis, cortex and medullary of adrenal glands. The first phase called reactive (3-7 days) is characterized by enhancing energy-producing, protein-synthesizing and secretory functions of secretory sells of hypothalamus supraoptic nucleus, corticotrophic cells of adenohypophysis, adrenocorticytes of cortex and adrenocytes of medullary of adrenal glands. The second phase of dystrophic changes (7-14) is characterized by different degree of distrophic-destructive changes. The third phase (14-1 month) is characterized by compensatory adaptative and recovery processes during which we can see on the background of dystrophic changes the processes of intracellular reparative regeneration. The fourth phase (1-3 months) is characterized by virtually complete recovery of morphofunctional and secretory activity of most cells of hypothalamus, hypophysis and adrenal glands.

[Effect of the protease inhibitor contrical on oxidative phosphorylation and proteolysis in kidney under thermal ischemia].

Morphological (at the tissue, cellular and subcellular levels) and biochemical (determination of the autolysis intensity, proteolytic activity for casein and BAPNA splitting, the level of oxidation phosphorylation) methods were used to show that a preliminary administration to the animal organism of contrical, an inhibitor of proteases partially prevents the kidneys, which endured a two-hour ischemia from development of irreversible changes, favours the preservation of the renal parenchyma structure, and stabilizes the energy status of cells.
