[Method of laparoscopic treatment of gastroesophageal reflux with mesh implant].

Modern potential of endoscopic surgery promoted expansion of indications for surgical treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease. The majority of laparoscopic methods has a number of significant disadvantages. Methods of laparoscopic treatment of gastroesophageal reflux using the implant with partial anterior fundoplication or without it were developed. These methods simplify surgical technique, permit to save topographoanatomical relationships of organs and at the same time restore Hiss angle and ensure work of sphincter that satisfy requirements to antireflux operations.

[Leukinferon in immunological correction of acute inflammatory diseases of the abdominal organs].

Addition of (intramuscular+intravenous) leukinferon (LF) to the schemes for the treatment of acute peritonitis promoted a more rapid positive development of the time course of clinical signs and decreasing of leukocytosis in the presence of a pronounced tendency to normalization of the main immunological indices i. e. the counts of differential T-lymphocytes and T-helper cells. There was also activation of neutrophil phagocytic function. A rapid decrease in objective signs of endotoxicosis was recorded: the intoxication leukocytic index and the level of medium-mass molecules. In parallel with the decrease in the intoxication leukocytic index, there was a decrease in cytosis of the peritoneal exudate. The use of LF in the treatment of elderly patients with acute cholecystitis eliminated the clinical signs and normalized the main laboratory indices without surgical interventions which allowed one to make a planned operation with the minimum risk.

[Male reproductive function after inguinal hernia].

Reproductive function and treatment results have been analysed for 59 patients aged 17 to 32 years after herniotomy. 28 and 31 of them underwent standard and endosurgical interventions, respectively. The control group consisted of 30 healthy males matched for age. As shown by 6-month follow-up, the endosurgical herniotomy was not associated with such complications as hydroscheocele, hydrocele, testicular atrophy, diminution of blood flow along the testicular arteries. Ejaculate, levels of sex hormones in the blood, cremasteric reflex remained intact. After routine herniotomy there appeared defects in scrotal and testicular microcirculation with partial testicular atrophy in 25% of cases, testicular circulation fell 2.2-2.5-fold, deterioration of spermogram and cremasteric reflex parameters, reduction of serum testosterone were observed.
