[Doctors Nicasio Etchepareborda and Andres F. Llobet: casuistry shared in maxillo facial surgery].

There is a reference to the professional collaboration performed by Drs. Etchepareborda and Llobet. Physician dentist, first professor at the School of Dentistry of Buenos Aires, the first one; and medical surgeon who stood out among the precursors in using asepsis in this country, the other one. Among the years 1886 and 1896 they treated together patients who had to undergo jaw-facial surgery. They anticipated in almost three decades this way of collaboration that has spread since World War I.

[Dr. Juan Ramon Beltran and his contribution to the School of Dentistry].

He was in charge of the course of Legal Dentistry at the School of Dentistry from 1929 through 1932. He prepared the study program for this subject, basing it on the experience he had gained as professor in Legal Medicine at the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Buenos Aires. He published the book "Medicina Legal para la ensenanza de la Odontologia Legal y Social" (1932), and its second edition included an important contribution made by Dr. Juan Ubaldo Carrea, Main Professor of Orthodontics with Legal Dentistry at this school

[Popular dentistry in the drug registry of Dr. Manduti].

There are here described eight medical preparations of dental use appearing in Manduti's list of prescriptions, attributed to the Portuguese physician Salvador de Sosa Revello y Mandoutt, special person who worked as a physician in several countries of South America in the end of the 18th century. In spite of the fact that his diplomas and professional abilities are of a doubtful authenticity, his list of prescriptions, lacking of scientific value, was edited eleven times up to 1904 and is still of interest for historians.

[Commentaries on the Treatise on first dentition by M. Baumes].

Dr. Baumes a book, physician at the Montpellier Faculty (France), was written before the French Revolution and published in 1806. Its reading provides us with valuable information on dental knowledges of the 18th century and usual treatments at that time when problems arose during the 1st dentition. This 387 pages book has an unique illustration: a scalpel is drawn while used for incising the gums of little children.

[Dentists Adalgisa Piazza and María Gringauz contribute to the Maxilo Facial Surgery (period: 1926-1946)].

The author refers to the works performed by these Argentine professionals, and their contribute to this branch of Surgery during the 20 year-period they were in the Medical Service of Dr. José María Jorge, at Durand Hospital, where they carried out their research and attended on lots of patients; among them one whose clinical case is described in this article.

[Female students and medical and dental student magazines].

Female students participation in the magazines edited by the Students Centers of Medicine and Odontology is analysed in this work. For the first one it's considered the period 1901-1909 and for the second one, the study includes the years 1914-1958. In both cases the different periods of the publication are explained, mentioning the female students actuation. The author encloses the corresponding bibliography.
