Principles of anthropological methodology used by human anatomy have been formulated as the elucidation of forms and factors of variability of structures and their correlation in the integral organism. Under consideration was the use of different morphological signs for their integral estimation of the condition of the human body. The realization of these principles in research represents an anthropological trend in human anatomy. Its advantages in 1980s were preceded by the preliminary development of certain problems of anatomical anthropology by our national and foreign scientists. A review of researches on anthropological trends of human anatomy is given which were considered as a basis for the further development of medical and sports anthropology.
Under investigation there were 158 Russian men of the city of Arkhangelsk and Arkhangelsk Province aged from 18 to 30 years. The total ridge count (TRC) and indices of the body constitution (according to V. M. Shevkunenko--A. M. Geselevich) were studied: relative length of the trunk (RLT), relative length of lower extremities, relative width of the shoulders and relative width of the pelvis. The hypothesis of normal distribution of these indices was confirmed by the chi-square criterion. The division into groups of dolicho- (DS), meso- and brachymorphic somatotypes (BS) was performed according to each sign and with special reference to limits X+/-S. Comparison of people of BS and DS groups has revealed significant differences only for RLT. The correlation coefficient proved to be valuable exceptionally for RLT. The method of succession analysis has shown that the least amount of observations for the determination of significant differences according to TRC is required in somatotyping according to RLT. Further investigations with other parameters of somatotyping require considerable amount of observations. The correlation analysis has determined the significant correlation coefficient for RLT only. A conclusion is made of the correlation of finger patterns and TRC with the rate of growing processes of organism.
Conditions of hypokinesia from 10 to 150 days were produced in 24 4-month-old male rats. Biologically active points were irradiated by a helium-neon laser. Microscopically visualized destructive changes of muscle fibers were most pronounced on the 50-th day of hypokinesia (43.4% of muscle fibers). After laser puncture destructive changes reduced by the 50-th day to 7.2%. It was also established that after laser treatment microcirculation increased development of intramuscular connective tissue showed a delay, regenerative processes became activated. It is concluded that in the hypokinesia variant of myopathy laser puncture plays a structure-saving role and increases the restorative processes in the muscles.
At examination of 305 boys and girls Russian, Kazakh in Alma-Ata strength of the m. triceps surae (strength of the foot flexion) has been estimated, anatomical diameter of this muscle and strength per 1 sm2 of the anatomical diameter (specific strength) has been calculated. Somatotyping after V. N. Shevkunenko has been performed. At dolichomorphy the specific strength is higher than at brachymorphy. In 24 corpses of 18-38-year-old men typical peculiarities of construction and structure of the m. triceps surae is studied. Correlation of the m. triceps surae parts and degree of its pinnateness do not reveal any definite differences in connection with the complexion. As demonstrate the data of light microscopy and mathematical treatment of the results by means of mixtures method statistically reliable predominance of the connective tissue component in the m. triceps surae and more often occurrence of thick muscle fibers in the m. soleus at dolichomorphy is stated. According to the electron microscopy data, better development of the connective tissue carcass of the m. triceps surae is proved in persons of dolichomorphic complexion.

Human ecology is the science on interaction of the man with the environment including the social surrounding. In the human ecological morphology biogenic and sociogenic peculiarities are distinguished; they are formed in the phylo- or ontogenesis. Peculiarities of the body integument, proportions, development of the fat component of the body mass etc. are related with the biogenic signs of the phylogenic origin, since they are connected with life in certain climato-natural conditions. These signs have certain analogues among Mammalia. The sociogenic signs of the phylogenic origin include complexes of bepedality, labour and informative-speech activity. They are characteristic for the human being only. The sociogenic peculiarities of the ontogenic origin include certain changes of the organism connected with professional and sporting activities. According to the human organism state, observed in dynamics, it is possible to judge on biogenic and sociogenic consequences of the environmental influences. For this purpose the data of anthropometric observations in newborn are considered to be important. The role of the biogenic changes is followed in the example of shifts of the body dimensions in time, connected with the solar activity cycles; the sociogenic changes are considered in an example of growth processes under conditions of different gas-pollution of the atmosphere with industrial waste.
Sportsman-fencers (683 persons) of various qualification and types of fencing (sabre fencers, foil fencers, swordsmen) have been roentgenologically examined. Of them 97 have been examined for the second time in a year. For a comparison 204 persons nonsportsmen have been examined. Increased specialized loadings of chop-push character, peculiar for fencing, accelerate processes of bone sinostosis and result in certain morphological changes in the components of the knee joint: the joint cartilage becomes thinner (as demonstrates the roentgenologically measured joint cleft), periostal osteogenesis on the surface of epiphyses, endothelial osteogenesis in the bone diaphyses become activated.
