Small babies, big bills.
The George Washington University Health Plan in Washington, D.C., has developed strategies to contain the costs of premature babies. A 700 gram neonate, afterall, can run up an enormous hospital bill. And big hospital bills can undermine the success of even the best prepaid plans.
