The article describes a case of postoperative false aneurysm of the thoracic aorta that was superbly demonstrated by helical computed tomography. This technique provides a simple method for obtaining rapid diagnostic studies in patients with this and similar conditions.
A rare case report of a large hemorrhage acoustic neuroma is described with computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging findings. Magnetic resonance imaging provides precise definition of the hemorrhage and relationship of the tumor to surrounding structures.
We describe a technique for making computed tomography (CT) angiographic studies more practical and workable. True CT angiography can be performed with arterial contrast injection combined with helical CT technique. Detailed angiographic images can be obtained; reconstructed images are aided by the helical technique, and other special studies can also be performed.
