Vasovasostomy was performed on 41 patients. The surgical technique is described and the results are presented. The success rate was 83 per cent for pregnancy. Reasons for failure and suggestions for improvement in results are discussed.

On 40 consecutive patients with prostatic cancer who had pedal lymphangiography during the initial evaluation and, subsequently, underwent pelvic node dissection or biopsy, a surprisingly high number had falsely positive (59 per cent) or negative (36 per cent) x-ray findings. Initially the tumors were considered clinically to be stage B in 24 cases, stage C in 13 and stage D in 3. After lymph node dissection only 17 tumors were still considered to be stage B and 7 were stage C, while 16 tumors were actually stage D. This surgical staging is important for the further management of the patient as well as the prognosis, Pedal lymphangiogrpahy alone is unreliable for accurate assessment of the regional lymph node status in clinically localized prostatic cancer.

We did a retrospective survey on 200 patients with hypospadias to determine what other congenital anomalies were present. The 56 patients with associated anomalies included 16 who had abnormal excretory urograms and 10 of these 16 patients had defects requiring surgical correction.
A case of primary mediastinal choriocarcinoma in a chromatin-positive boy is reported. The incidence of neoplasms in patients with so-called Klinefelter's syndrome is discussed as well as embryogenesis and diagnostic evaluation in patients presenting with this tumor.
A case is presented of synchronous occurrence of renal adenocarcinoma and transitional cell carcinoma of the renal pelvis in the same kidney. Review of the English literature revealed this to be a unique coincidence.

What information and skills do older persons need in order to enhance their health? What obstacles stand in the way of promoting their health? One way to find out is simply to ask them, as the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, did in a study undertaken as part of the Health Promotion and Aging Initiative sponsored by th Public Health Service nd Administration on Aging. Following are excerpts from an executive summary of "Aging and Health Promotion: Market Research for Public Education," a report of a research study that involved 15 focus groups of persons aged 58 and over, as well as a review of data on the media habits and the demographic characteristics of older Americans. The study, which was undertaken to serve as the basis for recommendations for national action, also offers insights that should be useful to program planners interested in meeting the needs and capturing the interest of older persons.
