Results of twins' and families' investigations of 19 quantitative features of fingertip dermatoglyphic patterns are presented. A conclusion has been drawn that the determinants of most of them have X-linked loci. The data were analysed in the light of the Lyon's hypothesis used in modern methods of interpretation of family correlations. The results revealed some incorrectness of the postulate of the highest connection in sister--sister pairs in the case of X-linked loci. It was ascertained that the distribution of family correlations, according to skin relief quantitative features, depends upon ethnic peculiarities of a sample: the higher the frequency of whorls in the population, the greater the probability of receiving the picture expected to occur in case of X-linked loci.
The investigation has been performed in mono- and dizygotic twins of the Ukrainian ethnic and territorial groups. As a whole 196 pairs of twins, among them 80 pairs of mono- and 116 pairs of dizygotes of both sex at the age of 12-60 years have been undergone the examination. The twins selected are divided into two age groups--period of sex maturation (12-17 years of age) and that of maturity (30-60 years of age). Quantitative parameters on composition of the components of the upper extremity mass (fatty, muscular and osseous) are studied in all the twins. Coefficients of intrapaired correlation and indices of Holzinger's heritability are calculated according to an original program, using the microcomputer "Electronika B3-34". The degree of hereditary and environmental influences for development and formation of the main components of the upper extremity mass at certain stages of individual development are characterized with ontogenic changeability. With age the degree of hereditary dependence of the development and formation of the upper extremity mass components decreases, and sex dimorphism according to the degree of the hereditary dependence of the components studied is displayed as a greater hereditary determination in male persons.

The size of right and left middle phalanges in the II-V fingers and the III finger have been studied in 108 pairs of monozygotic and dizygotic twins at 8--19 years of age and in 60 paris (pedagogical experiment) of separated twins (from the same pair), schoolchildren of the 2d--5th forms trained according different programs of physical culture. A great similarity of osteometric signs has been stated in monozygotic twins. As to local (intradigital) differences, a prevalence of the IIId finger should be mentioned. Maximum of genetic determination is evident for transversal growth--under high mechanical loadings on the bones, for longitudinal--under low mechanical loadings. The data of the pedagogical experiment demonstrate that increased mechanical loading on the hand bones activates osteogenesis. According to the majority of indices the main is the "radial" (II--III fingers) type.
Statistically significant dependence between physical loading and drug treatment in hypokinesia, on the one hand, and bone adaptation, on the other hand, was shown. Correction variants studied were expressed unequally in the animals of different strains. This indicates genetic growth determination and formation of limb bones.
Under study were the alterations in the extremity bones of inbred animals during 60-day-long hypokinesia. Variations of the correction of hypokinesia by physical loadings associated with the linear kind of animals were found and tested. Hypokinesia was shown to have inhibiting effects on the morphometrical parameters of flat (scapula, pelvic) and tubular (humeral, femoral, tibial) bones, the calcium and phosphorus content in blood serum being increased. Interlinear distinctions of the parameters studied under hypokinesia were revealed. The physical loading given against the background of restricted mobility normalizes the growth of bones, the level of calcium and phosphorus in the blood serum. The correction degree is dependent on the linear kind of animals speaking in favour of genotypical nature of adaptation of bones to physical loadings during hypokinesia.
The work was carried out in inbred mice C57BL/6, CBA, CC57Br/M strains, interstrain hybrids of the first generation FF1 and in rats of August and Wistar strains. Only one-month-old male animals, which were kept for two months under the conditions of hypo-, normo- and hyperkinesia were used in the study. Statistically significant relation between underloading, overloading and habitus changes was demonstrated. It was stated that habitus changes under the conditions of hypo-, normo- and hyperkinesia were genetically determined. Hereditary predisposition of the reactionary norm and the phenomenon of heterosis manifest themselves under different motor regimens.
