[Spontaneous cholecystocutaneous fistula].

INTRODUCTION: Spontaneous cholecystocutaneous fistula is now a rare entity due to the advent of antibiotics, ultrasonography, and safe and early surgical treatment of biliary tract diseases. Such a case is reporting here, revealed by the systematic histological examination of the skin biopsy. OBSERVATION: A 65 year-old male presented with an inflammatory and ulcerated lesion located on his right flank, with a long-standing but asymptomatic course. Biological tests and biliary tract ultrasonography were not very contributive. Histopathological findings consisted in a granulomatous dermal reaction enclosing biliary fragments. Per-operative data were in favour of a compound biliocutaneous fistula complicating an inflammatory process of the gall-bladder. DISCUSSION: Spontaneous cholecystocutaneous fistula is unusual. Diagnosis might be difficult because of the lack of clinical specificity and a occasionally insidious evolution. Consequently, systemic histological examination is fundamental.

[Gastric duplication in the adult: a case report presenting as recurring acute edematous pancreatitis].

A duplication cyst of the gastric antrum was diagnosed in a 35-year man after recurring attacks of acute pancreatitis. The patient was operated on with the preoperative diagnosis of cystic dystrophy on aberrant pancreatic tissue of the antrum wall. Diagnosis of duplication was established on pathologic examination of antrectomy specimen. A review of the literature about gastric duplication is performed.

[Invasive cysticercosis due to Taenia crassiceps in an AIDS patient].

A first case is reported from France of a subcutaneous and muscular tissues invasion by proliferative larval forms of Taenia crassiceps in an AIDS-patient with severe immunodeficiency. These larvae usually develop in rodents whereas the adult form of the cestode is commonly found in foxes. Authors emphasize the differential diagnosis from other human subcutaneous metacestodoses such as T. solium cysticercosis, cenurosis and hydatidosis. The proliferative aspect of the larvae, the recurrence of lesions after surgical removal and the possible invasion of other tissues are elements of a poor prognosis.
