[Effect of 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid-antigen on the migration of peripheral blood leukocytes in patients with bladder tumors].

The effect of 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid-antigen on peripheral blood leukocyte migration inhibition was studied in 75 patients with bladder malignancies. The antigen appeared to modify the said migration. A correlation was established between stage of tumor progression and the effect of 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid-antigen on leukocyte migration.

3-Hydroxyanthranilic Acid

[Surgical and combined treatment of kidney cancer].

A comparative analysis of two clinical groups of patients was performed in order to study the influence of postoperative irradiation on the results of the treatment of only the surgical treatment (nephrectomy). The second group (63 patients) was subjected to a combined treatment - nephrectomy and irradiation. In the first group the survival rate for 3 and 5 years was 40,0% and 20,0%, in the second group-49,9% and 31,7% respectively. The survival rate was higher in the combined treatment because of less recidivation of carcinoma (14,3%), although the frequency of the metastatic spread in the both groups was almost the same-50,6% and 54,0%.

Humans

[3-hydroxyanthranilic acid content in the urine of bladder cancer patients].

The work has shown the possibility to determine immunologically 3-OAA-antigen in the urine of bladder cancer patients, which is absent in the urine of healthy individuals. By the identity reaction the authors proved the supposed structure of the detected antigen, i. e. the presence of 3-oxianthranilic acid in it. The data obtained may lie in the basis of the immunodiagnostic test to bladder cancer.

3-Hydroxyanthranilic Acid

[Clinico-morphological characteristics of latent form of prostatic cancer].

36 cases of cancer of the prostate, diagnosed at the histological study of the tissue removed during adenomectomy, have been studied. The most common from is a highly differentiated adenocarcinoma with a well developed parenchyma. Elastic consistency and smooth surface of the tumors make difficult their clinical, diagnosis. As compared to other forms of prostatic cancer, these tumors are characterized by a more favourable clinical course and prognosis.

Adenocarcinoma

[3-Hydroxyanthranilic acid in the blood of patients with kidney tumors].

Antigen containing the tryptophan metabolite -- 3-oxyanthranilic acid-(3-OAA-antigen) was determined by agarose precipitation method, using specific immune rabbit sera in 85 patients, admitted with the primary diagnosis of renal tumor. Among 85 patients 3-OAA-antigen was found in blood sera in 62 patients. Among 23 patients in whom 3-OAA-antigen was not revealed in 20 -- the diagnosis of renal tumor failed to be supported. The authors conclude, that it is possible to use the reaction of 3-OAA-antigen detection for establishing the diagnosis of tumors of the kidneys.

3-Hydroxyanthranilic Acid

[Detection of an antigen containing 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid in the sera of patients with tumors of different localizations].

An unusual antigen containing a carcinogenic tryptophane metabolite -- 3-hydroxyanthranylic acid as a hapten (3-HAA-antigen) was found to be present in the blood serum in the overwhelming majority of patients with malignant tumours of various stages and localizations. The 3-HAA-antigen was rarely determined in the patients with nonmalignant diseases was not revealed in the blood serum of healthy donors and patients with benign tumours. The significance of the data obtained for the diagnosis of the tumour process, irrespective of its localization, is discussed.
