A series of 28 patients with tumors metastatic to the parotid gland are reported. The most frequent histologic types were squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma. Most primary tumors occurred in the head and neck. A review of similar cases published in the literature reveals the lack of uniform criteria for the appropriate therapeutic approach for metastatic parotid gland tumors.
A retrospective study of 6 cases of Stafne's static cavities is presented in a review of 1536 cases of maxillary cysts. We have found an incidence 4:2 for men. All cases have been detected casually. The sialography show a relationship between cavities and the submaxillary gland. The treatment was surgical in four cases and conservative in two.
A group of 86 patients with osteomas on the bones of the skull and face, 21 suffered from osteomas of the paranasal sinuses. The mean age of the patients was 50 years, with a predominance of male subjects (2/1). The frontal sinus was the frequently involved (57%), followed by the maxillary, ethmoid and the sphenoid sinuses. Diagnosis was made accidentally in 45% of the cases. The most frequent presenting symptom was headache (57%). Simple excision of the osteoma paranasal sinus was possible in 18 cases. We realize a study of the facts, as well as a review of the literature to know the incidence, diagnosis, indications and surgery technics used in these type of osteomas.

We introduce a study about 179 cases of Pilomatrixioma, registered in the archives from General Hospital "Vall d'Hebrón" of Barcelona between 1972-1988. Tumour of pediatric presentation, about 502 of cases have been observed in young people under 20 years, being both sexes almost equally affected percentually. About 75% of cases appear a a a single tumour smaller than 15 mm of diameter. Multiple presentation is observed only in the 2.8 of cases. A bit more than the 50% of cases are located in the head and the neck, usually in the preauricular region. Next follow upper extremities (27%), lower extremities (11%), and the rest of the body (6.7%). Recidivation appear only in the 0.55% of cases.
Tuberculous lesions of the oral cavity are rare, primary lesions in particular. Three cases of different location are reported, two of them are secondary to pulmonary disease and the third one is a primary lesion after tooth extraction. Based on these cases and the literature reviewed we analyze the differences of these clinical situations, the diagnostic procedures needed and the excellent response they shows to treatment with tuberculostatic drugs.
