[The effects of the drug Mirtilene Sifi on retinal sensitivity in healthy subjects].

Our study involve 15 normal ophthalmological subjects, when take 4 doses a day of Mirtelene Sifi for 15 days. The assessment of the efficiency of this drug on visual performances was made by comparison of the results (before and after the administration) obtained by testing the retinal sensibility (threshold central 30-2, Humphrey visual field analyzer) and the adaptation ability to dark of the retina. The results show the real efficiency of the drug on both the parameters.

Adaptation, Physiological↗

[Clinical ocular electrophysiology].

The paper summarizes the aspects connected with the clinical interpretation of a normal or modified electric path, together with the indications of the electrophysiological exploration use and the contributions to the diagnosis and prognosis in ocular diseases. The methods are complementary ore to each other and must be interpreted together with the clinical, ophthalmological, adaptometrical and neuro-ophthalmological data.

Electroencephalography↗

[Optical correction in accommodative convergent strabismus].

The accommodative strabismus is quite frequent. The refraction vices correction can lead to ocular axis parallelism. It is advisable that refraction measurement to be done after prolonged cycloplegia using 1% atropine and spectacles prescription to be made as close as possible to the value of refraction. Prismatic correction is recommended in heterophorias, the prismatic values must be under 6 prismatic diopters for each eye.

Accommodation, Ocular↗

[Complications of retinal detachment surgery].

The surgical treatment of the retinal detachment is concerning surgical technics, procedures, devices--both "classics" or from a new modern group, wich may lead sometimes to adverse reactions or complications. Not being always iatrogenic, their risck must be known under all their aspects, in order to addopt a proper and individualized therapy.
