[Synovial giant cell tumor of the suprapatellar bursa].

Both, giant cell tumor and pigmented synovitis are considered to be reactive and borderline proliferative lesions of the synovial cells. We report the case of a 48 year old woman presenting a mass in the knee. Despite of the use of a wide panel of different radiological examinations, diagnosis eventually had to be confirmed by histology.

[Thoracic chordoma].

Usually chordomas involve the intracranial and sacrococcygeal sites of the skeleton. We describe the uncommon localisation in the thoracic spine.

[Radiologic diagnosis of acetabular fractures].

Acetabular fractures are caused by high kinetic energy, and satisfactory management requires differentiation of the fracture types. The basic radiological examinations consist of the A-P pelvic view, the obturator, and the iliac oblique view. Plain radiography proves to be insufficient, particularly for visualization of the posterior column and the posterior acetabular lip. In comparison, axial CT scans give exact and complete information about the acetabular fracture and associated injuries. In summary CT is the method of choice in evaluating dislocated or non-dislocated fractures, even when two- and three-dimensional reformation is involved.

[Ulcerative angiosarcoma of the cranial vault masquerading as a pyoderma].

This is a report on a patient suffering from a progressive ulcerative tumour of the vault of the cranium with accompanying osteolytic destruction. The disease pattern was interpreted first after a biopsy from the marginal wall of the inflammation as a case of pyoderma. It was only on postmortem examination that an angiosarcoma of the ulcerative type was correctly diagnosed. The ulcerative type of angiosarcoma is sometimes difficult to differentiate from inflammatory skin diseases.
