[Two cases of cutaneous tuberculosis].

Two cases of skin tuberculosis are reported. In one of them diagnostic difficulties were present, in the other pulmonary tuberculosis was associated with two forms of skin tuberculosis. Spinocellular carcinoma developed in a recently developed scar after invasive skin tuberculosis.

Biological effects of cigarette smoking assessed with the NBT test.

The NBT reduction spontaneous and stimulated test was carried out on 90 men; 30 of which had never smoked cigarettes, 28 subjects have smoked for up to 10 years and 32 subjects--since over 10 years. The investigations demonstrated show that in subjects smoking cigarettes for up to 10 years the spontaneous and stimulated ability of the neutrophils to reduce NBT was increased whereas in the subjects smoking cigarettes since over 10 years impairment of the stimulated NBT reduction was demonstrated. We've come to a conclusion that an exposure to tobacco smoke may activate oxidation-reduction processes of the neutrophils in the initial stage and impair them in longer stage of smoking.

[Dermatoses characteristics for particular occupations. II. Health services and various other services].

The period after which skin changes appear is discussed, as well as localisation of their earliest appearance and allergens characteristic for physicians, dentists, nurses, veterinary surgeons and assistants, photographers and hair- dressers . Photographes handling coloured developers were found to be more exposed to dermatosis than those handling black and white ones. Ladies' hair- dressers suffer more frequently than gentelmen 's and nurses coming into contact with antibiotics and disinfectants are more exposed than other nurses.

[Dermatoses characteristic in particular occupations. I. Various branches of industry].

Dermatoses characteristic for several branches of industry: metal, electrotechnical, photochemical and pharmaceutical and for laminators and galvanizers are discussed. The periods are given after which skin changes appear, their primary localisation and the allergens specific for the particular occupations. In photo-chemical industry workers, beside dermatitis. lichen planus was also noted.
