The role of caerulein in differentiating functional narrowing of the distal common bile duct from organic stenosis was studied in 146 patients. Caerulein caused a generalized contraction of the extrahepatic biliary tract and a contraction of the sphincter of Oddi. It therefore improved opacification of the tract, particularly of the terminal portion, which is often not demonstrated by traditional techniques. The appearance of the duodenographic effect allowed for the evaluation of functional factors, which often play a role in stenosis of the sphincter of Oddi. Also, the reduction of bile-duct caliber revealed previously undetected filling defects.
A sample of patients with palatally displaced cuspids and a sample of subjects with normally erupted maxillary cuspids were examined as far as arch dimention and tooth size are concerned.
The Authors evaluated the stage of growth of seven left mandibular teeth and their eruption sequence on 157 op. The growth accomplishment happened earlier in this study as compared to others. Males showed one year gap compared to females in reaching the full dental growth, identified by the apex closure.
The authors analyzed 157 OP taken from growing subjects evaluating either the stage of development, or the maturity index of the seven left mandibular teeth. The dental age of each subject has been related to chronological age.
