A small-calibre collagen prosthesis made of pig omental arteries was tested as an arterial microvascular substitute. The graft shows 75 per cent patency rate, favourable compliance, and good tissue compatibility. Improvements may be possible by selection of suitable donor vessels.

In a critical appreciation of Schröder's monograph the work is considered to be a basis of psychiatrically oriented characterology. Dealing with Schröder's views also necessarily involves consideration of L. Klage's philosophy. Schröder's concern to provide pedagogues, psychologists, and jurists with a study of the characterology of children deviating from the average or norm, which has been made from the psychiatrist's point of view, may be considered fully realized even today.
It is evident that the treatment of a condition of hypermotility and erethism demand a long-term, individually-suited pharmacotherapy. The question of dosage has been left out intentionally, since this must be determined very individually and dependent upon the child's etiology, age group, intellectual capabilities and his general physical constitution. Many-sided psychagoical, psycho- and sociotherapeutic and pedagogical measures also form part of the complex-treatment of a hypermotile pattern of behaviour.
