[Chordoma of the base of skull. Apropos of 3 cases].

The authors report 3 cases of skull base chordomas. In 2 cases, skull radiographies and computed tomography found lytic lesions of sphenoid and clivus, with calcifications into the tumors. In the third case, radiological findings suggest a naso pharynx tumor.

[Hemorrhagic complications revealing renal angiomyolipoma. Apropos of 2 cases].

Renal angiomyolipomas are rare benign tumors, which are most often discovered with ultrasonography, owing to the hyperechogenicity of their fatty component, and with computed tomography. The authors report about two cases of severe hemorrhagic complications revealing a renal angiomyolipoma, for which computed tomography made a preoperative diagnosis possible.

[Early echographic diagnosis of omphalocele. 2 case reports and review of the literature].

The authors report two cases of early diagnosis of omphalocele. The first, suspected by ultrasonography at 11 weeks amenorrhea, was associated with a cystic lymphangioma of the neck. In the second case, bearing in mind the past history of interrupted pregnancy and of fetal malformation, the early indication for ultrasonography enabled the diagnosis of an omphalocele associated with anencephaly and abnormal closure of the neural tube. The ultrasonographic discovery of these malformations during the first part of pregnancy enabled vaginal fetal extraction.

Abnormalities, Multiple↗

[Cancer of the maxillary sinus. Apropos of 52 cases].

The authors report about a retrospective study on 52 cases of malignant tumors of the maxillary sinus gathered from January 1, 1977 to December 31, 1985 in the Department of Cervicofacial and ENT Carcinological Surgery of the Salah Azaïz Institut in Tunis. Epidermoid carcinomas dominate, but the histological types encountered are quite various; the tumors are very advanced on the first consultation in most cases. Computed tomography was a great help to assess extension prior to treatment and during follow-up. The evolution involved frequent recurrence and a great number of deaths during the first year.

Cerebral Angiography↗

[The value of radiological screening in the Tunisian army].

In a non orientated study of 12,357 radio-detecting of the new recruits the authors noticed that tuberculosis is still occupying a privileged place despite the effort made for prevention, and a retreat of post-infectious bronchiectasis of childhood. The authors underline the necessity to continue systematic detecting despite the low percentage of restrained anomalies, this is for two reasons: *on the one hand to avoid the little tuberculosis epidemic of the barracks *on the other hand for an early treatment of the other affections especially heart affections.
