Cutaneous bile fistula treated with ERCP-placed large diameter stent.

Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) with placement of endobiliary prostheses has become an important means of treatment for obstructing lesions of the biliary tract especially since the advent of therapeutic endoscopes capable of placing large diameter stents. A case is presented in which a patient with a cutaneous bile fistula responded overnight to endoscopic placement of a large diameter endobiliary prosthesis.

Esophagocolonic stricture with proximal fistulae treated by balloon dilation.

Anastomotic fistulae are uncommon complications after gastrointestinal surgery. We describe an unusual case of an esophagocolonic stricture after colonic interposition for benign disease complicated by proximal esophageal fistulae successfully treated with balloon dilation.

Mid esophageal stricture.

Carcinoma of the gallbladder: a diagnosis aided by endoscopic retrograde and percutaneous hepatic cholangiography.

In a patient with obstructive jaundice, extrinsic compression of the common bile duct (Mirizzi syndrome) due to squamous cell carcinoma of the gallbladder was documented with the combination of endoscopic retrograde cholangiography and pancreatography (ERCP) and percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography (PTC).
