Auditing care using the Nursing Quality Measurement Scale.
To improve patient care by more efficient use of resources it is necessary to monitor the quality and the costs of nursing. However, if clinical nurses are to use audit, they need to understand the concepts involved and the variety of approaches to quality measurement that may be used.
