Acute small bowel obstruction due to ileal endometriosis: a case report and literature review.

A young women presented with non-resolving acute small bowel obstruction and was found to have a stricture in the distal ileum at laparotomy. Histologically this was due to endometriosis. Resection of the involved segment gave excellent results.

Sternal osteomyelitis.

Two patients were successfully treated for sternal tuberculous osteomyelitis with quandruple anti-tuberculous chemotherapy and surgical exploration. The diagnosis was confirmed in one. In the other the clinical presentation was characteristic of a tuberculous aetiology.
