This issue presents the results of cristalin extraction in myopic eyes, analysing especially the postoperatory visual acuity and refraction. Some particularities of lens extraction in myopic eyes are pointed and the place of lens extraction as a method of refractive surgery of myopic eyes is analysed.
This issue presents the results of a study on patients with acute angle closure glaucoma. We analyse the functional disturbances and their long term evolution, and we show some risk factors which lead to severe functional disturbances.
Intraocular foreign bodies are grave ophthalmic emergencies. In this issue we present the complications that have been reported to the patients with intraocular foreign bodies admitted in the Ophthalmological Hospital from Cluj-Napoca between 1998-2002.
Retinal neovascularization (NVR) is a common complication of diabetes, which can cause legal blindness. This article presents the results of a study on 32 diabetic patients with NVR treated by DIODE LASER panretinal fotocoagulation.
