[Changes in the trace element content of the blood in chronic hepatitis].

Trace elements were examined spectrophotometrically in 45 patients with chronic hepatitis (persisting--31; chronic--14). Lead and cadmium showed a significant increase both in the healthy and hepatitis patients. A reduction of zinc and increase of copper was found in patients with chronic hepatitis. Changes in the content of microelements depended on the severity of the disease.

Adult

[Testosterone-1 alpha, 2 alpha-3H(n) absorption by target organ tissues in rabbit embryos in vitro].

The dynamics of uptake of testosterone-1alpha,2alpha-3H(n) by different tissues of the reproductive system in the rabbit embryos from the 18th till 25th days of development was studied in vitro experiments. The specific uptake of the hormone was recorded at all stages under study and in all organ rudiments. The selective uptake was observed in males in the genital tubercle from the 20th till the 25th day, in the ducts on the 19--21st and 25th days, in the urogenital sinus (the cyclic one) on the 19th, 21st, 23rd and 25th days. The character of the hormone selective uptake in the organs-targets is similar in the embryos of both sexes and corresponds to the male morphogenesis. The females were, however, characterized by the higher uptake of the hormone in the ducts on the 19--21st days and in the urogenital sinus on the 19--23rd days. The hormone uptake in the gonads is similar in embryos of both the sexes. The problem of reception of the organs-targets rudiments during the period of growth and differentiation of the embryonic genital system is discussed.

Absorption

[Testosterone-7alpha-3H uptake by the anlage of organs related to reproduction in female rate embryos in experiments in vivo and in vitro].

The dynamics of testosterone-7alpha-3H (T-3H) uptake by the developing genital system organs, as well as by the suprarenals, brain cortex and muscles was studied in vivo experiments with the 14-20 days old female rat embryos. Besides, the T3H uptake by the reproductive tract tissues and muscles just after the isolation of embryos from the uterus and after 2 days cultivation in the diffusion chambers implanted in the abdominal cavity of the adult castrated rats was studied in in vitro experiments. Moreover, the T3H uptake by the embryonic tissues was determined in the absence of ovaries. The specific uptake was noted in all the tissues at all developmental stages under all experimental conditions. The selective T3H uptake was noted during the periods corresponding to the rudiments' morphogenesis carachteristic for males. In the absence of ovaries, the T3H uptake by the reproductive tract tissues in vitro experiments decreased, but after 2 days cultivation in the diffusion chambers increased. The possible participation of ovaries in the female sex differentiation and the bisexual nature of rudiments determined by the presence of receptors both to estro- and androgens are discussed.

Animals

[Absorption of testosterone-7alpha-3H by reproductive tract tissues of male-embryo rats in vitro].

The dynamics of testosterone-7alpha-3H consumption by the reproductive tract rudiments (tubules, urogenital sinus and genital tubercle) and the muscles has been studied in the in vitro experiments immediately after the isolation of embryos (16-21 days of development), as well as after the preliminary two days cultivation in the diffusion chambers (13-20 days of development). In the first series of experiments, the selective, specific consumption of the labelled androgen was observed at all stages under study, whereas in the second series of experiments the specific and selective consumption in the organs-targets was noted from the 15th day of development (in the genital tubercle and urogenital sinus). No selective consumption in the tubules was noted.

Absorption

[Estrogens in the tissues of guinea pig embryos].

The content of estrogens was determined in tissues of the guinea pig embryos, blood of pregnant females and placenta by means of biological testing. It was the highest in embryonic ovaries at all developmental stages. The sexual dimorphism in estrogen content was found in embryonic suprarenals: it was higher in females than in males. The estrogen content in blood of male embryos and pregnant females was similar but lower than that in female embryos. Estrogens were also found in placenta and their traces were detected in spleen, brain, hypothalamus and uterus. The problem of possible participation of estrogens in the sex differentiation of female embryos is discussed.

Animals

[Absorption of testosterone-7 alpha-3H by tissues of organ-targets in male rat embryos].

The dynamics of consumption of testosterone-7alpha-3H by different tissues of the differentiating reproductive system, as well as by suprarenals, brain, hypothalamus and muscles was studied in the in vivo experiments with the rat male embryos beginning from the 14th and till the 20th days of development. The specific consumption of the labelled androgen related to the metabolic processes was observed at all developmental stages under study. The selective consumption of testosterone-7alpha-3H was noted prior to the beginning and during the morphogenesis of the organs-targets' rudiments. The radioactivity in tissues increased already 1--2 days following the castration of 18 days old embryos. Estrone, testosterone, testosterone-propionate, cyproterone-acetate competitively decreased the consumption of testosterone-7alpha-3H. The problem of reception of tissues of the rat male embryos to the male sex hormone is discussed.

[Isolation of oligonucleotides and aminoacylated nucleotides on a boron-arylated polymer].

2',3'-diol groups-containing oligonucleotides were shown to be adsorbed on N,N-diethyl-N-(p-methylphenylboryl) aminoethylsephadex A-25, forming the complex between boryl groups of the polymer and cys-diol part of oligonucleotides. This way the mixture of oligonucleotides pNn + (Np) n-1 Np can be fractionated. The procedure described is suitable also for the isolation of pure aminoacyl-nucleotides having free cys-diol groups in a carbohydrate part of the molecule.
