[Association of an epithelial dermoid with alopecia and a sebaceous verrucose nevus: hologynic hereditary malformations].

The association of alopecia with a sebaceous verrucose nevus and an epibulbar lipodermoid is a rare condition (8 cases reported in the literature). Only girls suffer from this disease; this suggests a hologynic heredity, as in the case of Aicardi's syndrome. The authors present a new observation of a 7-year-old girl who exhibits all the characteristics of this new syndrome.

[Is angiodiathermocoagulation an outmoded operation?].

Following a short summary of the anatomical and physiological aspects of the surgical procedure, the authors present a series of 320 eyes operated upon by the method of angiodiathermocoagulation. Open-angle glaucoma, followed by aphakic glaucoma, respond the best to this procedure, the expected number of good results being approximately 25% where the criteria are severe. The low percentage of severe complications represents one of the greatest advantages of angiodiathermocoagulation, which may be recommended in desperate cases.

[The syndrome of multiple basal cell nevoid epitheliomatosis].

The syndrome of multiple basal-celled naevoid epitheliomatosis is characterized by systeme affections of the skin, the bony skeleton, the endocrine glands, the C.N.S., and the eye and its adnexa. A paraneoplastic pathology causing the cutanious lesions and tumours secreting hormones or similar substances is postulated. A long bibliography is appended.
