Wilms tumor with extension to the right atrium.

A seven-year-old boy had cardiac symptoms for five months before the diagnosis of Wilms tumor was made. The tumor extended into the inferior vena cava through the renal vein and protruded into the right atrium. All demonstrable tumor masses could be removed at a one-step surgical procedure without using cardiopulmonary bypass. Intensive postoperative chemotherapy has been given, and 15 months after surgery he was without signs of relapse.

Diagnosis of agenesis of the corpus callosum by computer assisted tomography: report of two cases presenting with epileptic seizures.

Two young patients who had intermittent epileptic seizures were referred to us for cranial computer tomography, and both turned out to be cases with agenesis of the corpus callosum. There were a few other abnormalities associated with the finding, and indeed in both cases epilepsy was not the initial symptom. CT scans showed ventricular configuration very similar to that said to be characteristic of the condition on air encephalograms. The non-invasive nature of CT, and the diagnostic accuracy it provided, are the basis of this report.

Total dural calcification with secondary hyperparathyoidism: a rare entity.

A case of total, dense dural calcification in an adult female patient with secondary hyperparathroidism is presented. The often reported feature in the skull is that of a combination of osteopenia and osteosclerosis giving a granular bone texture described sometimes as "grains of sand" or "salt and pepper" appearance [6]. Extensive dural calcification with this condition has very rarely been reported [2, 3]. The purpose of this paper is to document the existence of the latter in a patient followed up for 19 years.
