[Evaluation of technical equipment for roentgenological examination of children].

A procedure involving an assessment by marks of the roentgenological examination (of chest organs in children) based on the availability of special equipment and apparatus and on the relative level of the radiation load on the patients and the personnel is proposed. The assessment in marks is determined as a result of an analysis of medical and technical data. Examination procedures demanding additional or special equipment are singled out and a standard series of apparatus and equipment needed for realization of these examinations has been drawn up.

Child

[Development of a system controlling x-ray diagnostic devices].

The purpose and criteria for efficiency (errors of anode voltage holding, tube current, and exposure) of the system controlling X-ray diagnostic devices are considered from theoretical and practical points of view. A microprocessor-controlled variant of the controlling system developed for numerous existing six-pulsed generators of the -3 type is outlined. The design and operation of the key circuit diagram of X-ray tube filament in the PEHA 50-6 microprocessor-controlled feeding device are shown in detail.

Microcomputers

[Development of a monitoring system for radiodiagnostic devices].

The authors review the possibilities of the application of the "man-machine" theory to the radiodiagnostic unit. Show implementation of the theory with special reference to the basic purpose of the unit RENA 50-6 MP equipped with the microprocessor system of monitoring.

Man-Machine Systems

[Approaches and problems in the development of radiodiagnostic equipment].

The authors analyze the current status of technical equipment of different sections of roentgenology. Note shortcomings in the units manufactured and in the equipment of the sections of radiodiagnosis. Make conclusions about the tasks the Association of Medical Physicists of this country face.

Adult

[Physical-technical possibilities of perfecting roentgenographic research].

The authors have classified factors that determine the quality of roentgenographic images and provided evidence for measures aimed at their improvement. It has been shown that it is conversion to an x-ray feeding device fitted out with microprocessor control that will make it possible to upgrade the quality of roentgenographic images and to reduce radiation loads of the patients.
