[The epileptic variant of enuresis in children].

Clinical, neuropsychological and instrumental examinations were conducted in enuresis children aged 5-7. All of them suffered from minimal brain dysfunction (MBD). The authors found that in MBD mediobasal frontal regions and lower stem portions are involved. This contributes to formation of congestive excitement foci in the deep frontal regions responsible for paroxysm onset, epileptic enuresis, in particular.

[The use of a nasoduodenal tube for therapeutic drug administration in the comprehensive treatment of duodenal ulcer in elderly patients].

The use of therapeutic endoscopy in the complex of gastric and duodenal ulcer therapy permits to reduce the duration of patient's stay in the hospital 1.5-2 fold. A disadvantage of the method consists in the fact that it is hard for the patients (especially, the elderly) to endure the complete course of treatment. The authors have used a naso-duodenal polychlorvinyl tube of original construction for prolonged irrigation of an ulcer with drug solutions stimulating the reparative processes. In all the patients, a duodenal ulcer has epithelized within 18.3 days. The long-term results of treatment with the use of this method confirmed its high effectiveness (positive result was noted in 91.7% of cases).
