[Theoretic scheme of immunoenzyme analysis (the "sandwich" variant)].

The sandwich variant of the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is a simple serological reaction of three components, and the antigen-antibody interaction follows the law of active masses. To increase the sensitivity of ELISA with respect to the antigen, the plates should be sensitized with moderate concentrations of antibodies and the confugate should be introduced at relatively low concentrations. To increase the activity of the conjugate, the plates should be sensitized with high concentrations of antibodies, but in this case the sensitivity of ELISA will not be high.

[Intracellular growth of actinophage in Actinomyces lividans culture lysogenic heat-induced mutant].

Intracellular growth of a thermoinduced prophage was caused by the action of elevated temperature on the lysogenic culture of Actinomyces lividans 66 (phiC31 ct22). The growth took place in the nucleoid where loose, oval or round, particles consisting of twisted NA threads were formed. Later, electron-dense phage heads, covered with a sheath, appeared, and still later--phage tails. Thermoinduction was terminated by lysis of the mycelium of the actinomycete when mature particles of the actinophage were liberated into a surrounding medium.

[Determination of embryotoxic and teratogenic effect of a new antidepressive agent, pyrazidol].

The effect of the new original antidepressant pyrasidol on the embryogenesis of albino rats was investigated. With a single introduction of the drug with a tube into the stomach in a dose of 200 mg/kg within the first 15 days of pregnancy pyradisol was found to produce no embrytoxic and teratogenic effects. Fluorescent microscopy revealed the presence of the pyrasidol metabolites in the amniotic fluid of the test animals 2 hours after enteral administration of the drug, on the 15th and 20th days of pregnancy.
