[Angioblastoma (hypertrophic hemangioma). Preliminary report].

We are presenting herewith the case of a rare vascular tumor called angioblastoma which histopathological and clinical aspects may lead into errors of diagnosis and therapy. Its fast development, tendency to ulceration and bleeding and dark colour, are signs that may be confused with those of hemangiosarcomas and, inclusive, melanomas, because, from a clinical point of view, its pleomorphism and cellular atypical nature, due to immaturity, may induce diagnostic and histological doubts. In order to simplify diagnosis and therapy of an angioblastoma, we have treated it within the complex subject of vascular hyperplasias in general. Thereby, we have made three synopses of interest for such a purpose. Out of the consulted bibliography, its limited frequency is stated, as relative cases don't amount to a hundred worldwide and none of them was found in our country. We have reported the most accurate data for its correct clinical and histopathological diagnosis to avoid extremely aggressive therapies, since it is a lesion of benign biological behaviour.

[Serratia marcescens. Cutaneous involvement. Preliminary report].

Three cases of skin infections are reported. The biological examination revealed the presence of gram-negative bacillus Serratus marcescens whose chemical characteristics enabled its identification. Treatment was based on the respective antibiograms, cure being obtained in two patients. The third patient was treated with an antibiotic to which he was not sensible, with the consequent failure. Perusal of the literature at our disposal failed to reveal skin infections due to Serratus marcescens. Thus, in such patients who do not respond to the usual therapy, it is suggested that the Serratus marcescens bacillus be systematically looked for an reported in order to confirm this preliminary publication.

[Jadassohn's sebaceous nevus and cutis verticis gyrata].

The presentation of this case has given rise to the following considerations: the possible association of liner nevus verrucosus with other cutaneous or extracutaneous malformations (skeletal, dental, ocular, neurologic, etc.) imposes the need to rule out such alterations with a view to their early correction or attenuation.

[Axillary carcinoid papillomatosis in a linear verrucous nevus].

This report refers to the manifestation of an infrequent skin blastoma, with: Carcinoid papillomatosis developing on a zona-like verrucous nevus. An endeavor is made to determine the nosologic, etiologic, evolutionary and therapeutic aspects of both conditions.

[Giant hamartomatous nevus of undescribed complexity (development of an infiltrating malignant melanoma)].

A case is reported of complex hamartoma with the aspect of a giant pigmented nevus, localized in one of the lower extremities. Histological examination revealed the involvement of different embryonal layers in order to give rise to dissimilar types of nevi: flat pigmented nevus, intradermal cellular nevus, epidermal verrucous nevus, Jadassohn's sebaceous nevus; Hoffman-Zurhelle's superficial lipomatous nevus, and fibrous hamartoma of the manifested at infancy. This malformation and more specifically the nevus cells constitute the subsequent transformation into an infiltrating malignant blastoma (malignant melanoma).

[Florid papillomatosis and spinocellular epithelioma in addition to the lesions of chronic lupus erythematosus].

A case of florid papillomatosis lesions overlying manifestations of chronic disseminated lupus erythematosus located on the external ear is reported. Besides, the patient presented an infiltrating semi-differentiated squamous cell epithelioma in the lower lip semimucosa. A description and evaluation are made of the therapeutic plan instituted for both conditions. Besides the infrequent skin localization of florid papillomatosis another point worthy of note is its manifestation on lupus erythematosus lesions. The authors remark that they have found no record of the association reported upon in the literature at their disposal.

[Changes in the elastic tissue of patients with Down's syndrome].

Two patients with Down's syndrome are reported. A concomitant finding in one of them was psoriasis (not frequent in these patients), anetoderma and unelastic connective tissue nevi. Anetoderma was the only concomitant finding in the other patients. On the basis of these findings the authors feel that besides the "stigmata" referred to, patients with Down's syndrome may present congenital malformation of the elastic fibers. Another objective of this paper is to suggest that every one of these patients should be submitted to a through dermatological investigation having regard to the highly varied and interesting skin changes likely to be disclosed.

Adult↗

[Stuccokeratosis].

The clinical and histopathological aspects of "Stuccokeratoses" are described. The frecuency, of the disease, the etiological aspects, nosology and differential diagnosis are mentioned. A patient with the typical clinical picture is reported. A good result with 0.5% retinoic acid solution is mentioned.
