While proliferating trichilemmal cysts are a well-known entity, so far there have been no reports on the proliferating processes of epidermal cysts. Two patients with multiple proliferating cysts are presented. Histologically, there was a well-developed stratum granulosum in the wall of the most cysts, and the cavity contained orthokeratotic horny material. The possible pathogenetic mechanisms of cyst formation are discussed.
A 41-year-old man with skin lesions typical of Dyskeratosis congenita had lost a great deal of weight in a relatively short time. Intensive examination of the internal organs indicated that some changes had taken place that were typical of the dermatological diagnosis, but so far clinical examination has not found a neoplasm or other severe internal diseases.
A 73-year-old women developed tight blisters exclusively on the legs. The histological and immunological examinations substantiated the diagnosis of localized pemphigoid. The disease had a chronic course and responded well to treatment with prednisolone.

The seminal plasma proteins of patients before and after vasectomy as well as in different split ejaculate fractions were investigated using gradient polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Considerable interindividual variations of the protein patterns were observed. A distinct high molecular weight proteins band was found to disappear after vasectomy. This protein band could b4 attributed to the sperm-rich fraction of split ejaculates. It seems to be of testicular-epididymal origin and may be of interest for functional characterization of the testicular-epididymal fluid and for diagnosis of an occlusion of the excretory duct system.
