Hydrogen-bonded chains in 3-tert-butyl-5-[(4-methoxybenzyl)amino]-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole and tetramolecular hydrogen-bonded aggregates in 5-[(benzotriazol-1-ylmethyl)(4-methoxybenzyl)amino]-3-tert-butyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole.

The molecules of 3-tert-butyl-5-[(4-methoxybenzyl)amino]-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole, C21H25N3O, are linked into simple C9 chains by a single C-H...N hydrogen bond. 5-[(Benzotriazol-1-ylmethyl)(4-methoxybenzyl)amino]-3-tert-butyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole, C28H30N6O, crystallizes with Z' = 2 in the space group P2(1)/c. The molecules are weakly linked into centrosymmetric tetramolecular aggregates by a combination of C-H...N and C-H...O hydrogen bonds.

The title compound is a salt, C(9)H(14)N(+).NO(3)(-), in which two N-H...O hydrogen bonds and two C-H...O hydrogen bonds generate a three-dimensional framework structure. The combination of one N-H...O hydrogen bond and one C-H...O hydrogen bond generates a finite (zero-dimensional) centrosymmetric R(4)(4)(14) aggregate containing two cations and two anions; the combination of the two N-H...O hydrogen bonds generates a one-dimensional C(2)(2)(6) chain of alternating cations and anions, and the combination of one N-H...O hydrogen bond and two C-H...O hydrogen bonds generates a two-dimensional sheet of alternating R(4)(4)(14) and R(8)(6)(34) rings.

5-[N-(1H-Benzotriazol-1-ylmethyl)amino]-3-tert-butyl-1-phenylpyrazole: sheets built from N[bond]H...N, C[bond]H...N and C[bond]H...pi(pyrazole) interactions.

In the title compound, C(20)H(22)N(6), the molecules are linked into a chain of rings by N[bond]H...N [H...N 2.16 A, N...N 2.950 (3) A and N[bond]H...N 149 degrees] and C[bond]H...N [H...N 2.55 A, C...N 3.481 (3) A and C[bond]H...N 165 degrees ] hydrogen bonds, and these chains are linked into sheets by means of C[bond]H...pi(pyrazole) interactions.
