[Inguino-scrotal bladder hernia].

We report on a 61-year-old patient with massive scrotal herniation of the bladder and non-Hodgkin malignant lymphoma. We briefly describe this disease entity and its form of presentation, and discuss its diagnosis and treatment.

Hernia

[Hypernephroma and bladder leiomyosarcoma. Report of a case].

We report on a patient with two primary and synchronous urological tumors (hypernephroma and leiomyosarcoma of the bladder). Patient follow-up of 14 months revealed no evidence of tumor recurrence. The clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of this rare tumor of the bladder are highlighted. We consider surgical treatment mandatory and radio- and chemotherapy adjunctive treatment modalities.

Aged

[Urethral diverticulum in the male].

We report on a 50-year-old male patient with acquired urethral diverticulum complicated by calculus in the anterior urethra. The etiologic factors, the hypotheses put forward relative to the pathogenesis of urethral diverticulum, its diagnosis and forms of treatment are discussed.

Diverticulum

[Female urethral diverticulum with lithiasis].

A case of diverticulum of the female urethra complicated by lithiasis is described. The etiopathogenic aspects, clinical features, diagnostic methods and treatment of this rare condition are discussed.

Diverticulum

[Diffuse malignant mesothelioma of the testicular tunica vaginalis. Report of a new case].

We present a case of diffuse malignant mesothelioma of the tunica vaginalis testis, a very uncommon tumor site, in a patient who also had a tumor localized to the chest. We could not determine however, whether the testicular neoplasm was a primary tumor or a distant metastasis. We describe this tumor type, its mode of presentation, diagnosis and treatment.

Humans

[Adrenal gland hydatidosis].

A case of hydatid cyst of the adrenal gland in a patient with a previous history of hydatidosis is described. Following a brief discussion of the pathological features of adrenal cysts, attention is focussed on the diagnosis and treatment of this specific form of adrenal cyst: the hydatid adrenal cyst.

Adrenal Gland Diseases

[Neurogenic bladder secondary to herpes zoster. Urodynamic evaluation].

A case of urinary retention from infranuclear neurogenic bladder secondary to perineal herpes zoster infection is described. We discuss the different urological compromise (neurologic and vesico-prostatic) following herpes zoster infection and the importance of correct diagnosis and patient follow-up. We do not recommend instituting drug therapy. Intermittent use of a catheter is advocated as the only treatment modality for this condition, which is reversible in most of the cases.

Aged

[Epidermoid carcinoma in the renal pelvis].

A case of epidermoid carcinoma of the renal pelvis is described. The etiologic, prognostic and therapeutic aspects of this uncommon tumor of the upper urothelium are discussed.

Aged

[Ureteral diverticula. Apropos of 2 cases].

Two cases of unilateral ureteral diverticulum are reported, one of which was associated with a bifid ureter. In the first case, this anomaly was incidentally discovered during a urographic work up of a patient with colic nephritis. In the second case, the presenting symptom was hematuria which was finally attributed to ureteral diverticulosis. A structural classification of these anomalous lesions is described, and the commonly associated conditions (obstruction, infection) are reviewed. The authors do not advocate treating these anomalies.

Diverticulum

[Isolated angiomyolipoma of the kidney].

We report on four cases of renal angiomyolipoma. Treatment was by conservative surgery in two cases, and regular control for the remaining two cases. The different diagnostic methods and therapeutic modalities are discussed.

Adult

[Bilateral pheochromocytoma].

We report a case of bilateral adrenal pheochromocytoma in a young, male patient who consulted for arterial hypertension. The adrenal tumors had been accurately diagnosed by abdominal ultrasonography and confirmed by CT. The incidence of bilateral involvement in pheochromocytoma is briefly discussed and the methods currently utilized for topographic localization of the tumor are described.
