[Immunogenic properties of the liposomal form of Pseudomonas aeruginosa anatoxin].

Studies of immunogenic properties of P. aeruginosa anatoxin incorporated into liposomes of varying lipid compositions have shown that single immunization of mice with the anatoxin included into phosphatidyl ethanolamine and lecithin cholesterol liposomes induces a 6-8-fold higher antitoxin antibodies production than immunization with unadsorbed or adsorbed on aluminum hydroxide P. aeruginosa toxoid. The maximal production of antibodies against exotoxin A of P. aeruginosa is observed already on the 14th day. The adjuvant properties of lecithin-cholesterol liposomes were revealed only in the primary immune response, while phosphatidyl ethanolamine-containing liposomes exhibited the capacity for enhancing both the primary and the secondary immune responses. The use of liposomal P. aeruginosa anatoxin made of lipids varying in composition and charge is a promising trend of research aimed at designing new highly effective immunization preparations for P. aeruginosa infection prevention.

[Isolation and purification of biopolymers using an affinity chromatography method. IX. Preparation, properties and use of affinity adsorbents with immobilized polypeptide fragments of collagen].

Synthesis and properties of new affinity adsorbents with immobilized polypeptide fragments of collagen molecule (alpha-chains, beta-components, cyanogen bromide peptides) were described. Adsorbents with alpha-chains and alpha 1CB7-peptide had fibronectin binding capacity 1.5-2.0 times higher than commercial gelatin-Sepharose. Commercial production of highly purified fibronectin from human plasma using affinity chromatography on immobilized individual alpha-chains of collagen was developed.

[A new chromatographic method for the preparative isolation of phosphoinositides and other anionic phospholipids].

A new chromatographic procedure for preparative isolation of mono-, di- and triphosphoinositides and other anionic phospholipids with the use of adsorbents containing primary amino groups is described. Sorbents with immobilized neomycin, L-lysine and aminoalkyl groups were tested. Conditions for isolation of chromatographically pure phospholipids of separate classes on the above sorbents were developed. Isolation of polyphosphoinositides on the amino sorbents represents a new type of chromatography involving bioaffinity and ion-exchange interaction.

[Immunochemical structural study of syphilitic reagins].

Syphilitic reagines, which are lipid-binding antibodies, were studied. A method for isolation and purification of the reagines described is based on their interaction with immobilized lipid antigen. Antibodies, studied by the immunochemical methods in several types of syphilis, are represented by various classes of immunoglobulins.
